Siena barely got a proper chance on goal, I can take that as a positive from the game, Grosso was solid as well. It's still annoying to not be able to witness a full strength Juventus though, the wingers are my biggest problem. I know that Krasic and Elia are quick, direct and can take on their player. And I know that Krasic actually looks into the box if he has the chance before letting rip on a cross, instead of Pepe with his head down constantly.

Credit to Pepe for his pass on the goal though, nice diagonal ball to Giaccherini. Vidal to start in midweek.

We would have lost this match had it not been for our defense today. Lucky to score from one of only a few opportunities. I really don't like that we play around with the ball, passing it back because we're one goal up with 25 minutes left. I thought possession football was about keeping it in the opposition half and pressing forward.
We would lose every match without the defence. Siena did not create any open chances.

5 points ahead of Milan, Inter and Roma. :weee:
:weee::weee:

Grosso! :sergio: He had me calling for De Ceglie to be back! Every time he got the ball, he sent it back towards our goal. Why didn't Toni put Krasic on for Grosso and move Pepe into LB position?

I am happy that we won, but we should have scored more: - Not enough players willing to come forward & they kept trying to go through the middle, which meant that Siena only had to bunch up in the middle to defend adequately. Juve needed to stretch Siena's defensive line, but didn't! This is a lesson they need to learn as several teams have successfully kept Juve from scoring by using this 'bunch in front of the goal' tactic.

Both Giorgio and Claudio picked up injuries. I hope they're ok!

Yeah, Siena deserved a point for their great performance and beautiful flowing football.
They didn't have a great performance nor beautiful football, but neither did we. 0-0 would have been the fair result, but Im glad we won. Forza Juve

I'm getting a tad nervous regarding the Conte v Krasic scenario that might be playing it self out right now.

I hated today's performance, barring our defense and even that there were a few suspect moments and what the hell was Buffon doing. We were clowns for the last 15 minutes losing balls and ballooning it mindlessly. So what if Siena barely threatened us barring a post etc, any other game this could've cost us 3 points. Matri and Vucinic, the latter especially looked lazy; even if they didn't get a great 'service' from our midfield that's no excuse, no attempts at running or making space whatsoever IMO, our wingers are shit for wingers and I've never been THIS angry with Marchisio.

DISGUSTING

Fuck that. We created a chance and scored. That's fair enough.

We don't give away as much at the back, but from the midfield up, the performance was rather poor. The commentator kept saying how it was really hot and humid, so that might've had something to do with the slow pace of the game. Pepe and Giacch don't quite offer enough going forward, I definitely agree with you there. We really need to up creativity from the wings, but I think we kept this formation because we play again midweek. We'll see Krasic, Elia and Vidal in action I'm pretty sure.

Guys i don't think conte was mad at Krasic he just wanted to motivate him , but Matri got injured so he sent ADP in the pitch .
Motivating him by using the italian sign word for "vaffanculo" ? Krasic didn't look too motivated going back to the bench either.
