When I said that the CL will affect us, I didn't mean only physically but also mentally. If we lose games there we are bound to get affected and if we win we are bound to come drunk. Today we were nonchalant in the first and totally without any plan in the second. Tiredness was obvious throughout the match.

Asamoah still does not offer anything on the flank and Vidal did not travel to Rome and the forwards are back to their usual self after two good games.

Buffon 6.5

Barzagli 6.5
Bonucci 6.5
Caceres 7

Lichtsteiner 6.5
Vidal 4.5
Pirlo 5
Pogba 5.5
Asamoah 4

Vucinic 4
Matri 5

Giovinco 4.5
Padoin 4.5
Anelka 5.5

Giovinco needs a way lower rating than Padoin.

Pirlo was horribly tired at the end. i hope he can recover for the next game.

for the motm poll, obviously pogba and caceres, the rest dont deserve the mention

Thank God we have a week off and will rest and prepare properly for the Siena-Celtic-Napoli Combo games.
We'll have Marchisio,Peluso and Chiellini back as well.

I thought our back three were excellent. Some sub par performances from Vucinic, Vidal, Asamoah, but credit to Roma, they played really well today.

Having both Totti and Lamela play from the hole w/ Osvaldo creating space as a battering ram...that 3 man attack was clever but risky move from Roma. It could have backfired on another day. They created multiple chances through that trident although our defense shut them down quite effectively. That lone goal from Totti was classy while Seba's first touch = :sergio:

one of the reasons I hate italian provincial referees :sergio: too many soft call on our players, especially pogba... did you see the move he made before half time? that shouldn't be a foul :sergio: we could've got a goal from that move.

and as many times I've said, this is why I'd really want us to be bold and brave to accept a huge offer to our players and use that money to get real attacking talents... it's the only logical choice, we are very toothless to break organized defenses, compared to other big clubs and other top league leaders, we like a provincial club in attacking department; and vidal marchisio couldn't actually add anything to our attack in this kind of game.

and this is also a clear example of a match when regista is totally useless, that's why I question the obsession to find pirlo's heir, his skills is rather useless at matches like this, remember euro QF against england? italy dominated but couldn't break through england defense, someone like young totti/del piero/baggio would've been much more useful.

and it's rather naive if anyone including conte believe that we can play 3-5-2 forever.
