Ultras attack Juventus bus

A section of Juventus ultras have attacked the team's bus as the players arrived in Milan ahead of tonight's Derby d'Italia against Inter.

The bus was approaching the Pieve Emanuele hotel last night when - not for the first time this season - a group of ultras pelted eggs at the bus.

Things got progressively worse as one ultra threw a flare into the hotel foyer. :sergio:

Luckily no one was injured, although Tuttosport understands Juventus had to make a dash for it and take refuge in the hotel.

The Viking group of Juventus ultras are currently being held responsible for the attack.

There were reports that Juventus would travel straight back to Turin last night and then drive out to Milan again this morning.

However, the Juventus press office later denied those claims.

What a great support before the derby!

Internazionale vs Juventus

Seria A Season 2009-2010 Day 34
Friday April 16, 2010 Kick off: 19:45
Stadio Giuseppe Meazza

Match Facts

This is the 154th 'Derby of Italy’ in the top-flight: Juventus lead by 72 wins to 43, 38 draws complete the record.

The Nerazzurri have managed only one win in the last seven occasions they have faced Juventus in the league (1-0 at home in November 2008); four wins to the Bianconeri and two draws complete the record.

At the San Siro, the hosts have won only two of their last 10 meetings with the Old Lady; five draws and three wins for the guests in the process.

Juventus were the last side to win at Inter in the league (2-1 in March 2008).

Since then, the Nerazzurri have notched-up 38 consecutive unbeaten games at home (28 wins and 10 draws).

Last Sunday against Cagliari, Juventus managed their first clean sheet in their last 20 league fixtures.

José Mourinho’s side have kept a clean sheet in their last six home games in the league.

The Bianconeri are on a run of three consecutive defeats away from home, in which they have scored only one goal, conceding seven.

Juventus have already scored 15 headed goals so far this term - a league-high.
