Having watched Lucarelli's bizarre antics on Pandev, it strikes me how Serie A is filled with nut cases you rarely get to see in other leagues. Heck, I would even say Robby Savage, with whom I was totally shocked about in recent months, would be rather moderate in Serie A. Pity Di Canio isnt good enough to play at the top level, because he would have been a contender for the top prize. He is my quick breakdown on the list:

(1) Muntari: I am telling you he is going to break Montero's record for the most sending off if he doesnt move abroad for next 2-3 years. He has got what? 4 Red cards in 11 games? At least Montero spent majority of his career in Italia.

(2) Mascara: Giving Muntari a good match for the title of most sending off, which is quite shocking that Muntari himself is on a unprecedented pace. Real pity since some of his skills are real sublime

(3) Matrix: He gets away with so many red cards its unreal. But his cunningness to get away with blatant mis-behavior on the pitch is just enough for him to avoid top spot. My favorite is his hook on Sheva's stomach in CL Semi. It was done with real artisery, but who in the right mind would think about punching an opponent when CL final is on line? That is Matrix for you.

(4) Lucarelli: I also found his rants, goal celebration a bit annoying and over the top. Well, for Lucarelli, opposition doesnt get to have the same previlige. He must have thought he was in a wrestling ring, but football pitch.

I like this thread :D

IMO its all part of Seria A, including the flares, player fights and everything. Sometimes the passion just goes over the top. They'll face the concequenses, but these event are memorable. I still remember Milan v Inter CL semi final like it was yesterday :pumpkin:
