Especially if you consider the fact that the reports out of the training camp all agree on him working his ass off in the training sessions. If you [Conte] picked the player, if he is working hard to even make the bench and you chose to give him 0 attention - then you are doing it wrong. He had plenty of opportunities in the past three games to give him 10-20min at the end, but no a player of no offensive nor defensive quality ( Giaccherini ) makes the bench over Elia. He shouldn't have greenlighted the move if he is going to be a douchebag.

There are a lot of players who can't make the bench. Sometimes it's Quag, sometimes Krasic, Esti, Giacch, whoever. What makes you think these other guys don't deserve it more than Elia?

I think Elia has been good sport so far but at some point sitting on the stands for the whole season and not getting any playing time is bound to get to him. All of these guys (except Quags who's been inserted slowly into the team) got a fair chance to prove their worth this season. Elia got 45minutes in a game where the entire team sucked major balls.
