Get off Nedved's back ffs. He was simply one of our best players on the pitch and the Ref should never step on the field again. He's unqualified asshole. Plus non of the fouls he commited were EVEN yellow. So stop bitching about him and give him some praise instead.

We played a good game overall, everything went fine except for one thing, and that is the long balls that we used alot during the first half. I don't want this to turn into Capello tactics so Ranieri should work on it, Ranieri's boys are doing superb, we just need to control the game and play our football without using the long crosses.

Ratings.

Buffon 6.5 Didn't had to do alot except for one shot and his reflex was pretty amazing.

Grygera 6 decent defender but somehow weak when it comes to attack. He needs to work better in his crosses, running, passes while attacking.

Legro 7.5 Classy day for Nicola, looked solid, confident no mistakes and the yellow he earned wasn't fair. His season is rocking so far. Keep it up Legro:star:

Chiellini 7 He's the heart of the team in defense, a real lion out there, like usually, was solid doing well everywhere, he was also pretty smart.

Molinaro 6 Like Grygra, decent player in his position but terrible on the offense. He needs to work more.

Nocerino 7 Everywhere this man, reminds me of Pavel and i'm loving it. He's never tired keeps running, ruining the oppositions attack and doing everything necessary. A bright future i can see.

Salihamidzic 5.5 Not his day, his crosses were awful alongside his passes, he should have been sub. Hopefully he'll performe better next time.

Zanetti 5.5 He wasn't bad today, but wasn't the usual Zanetti.

Nedved 7 Perfect Assist for Del Piero's goal, running all over the pitch, stopping the opponents, moving and disturbing Genoa's defenders. Too bad we had a fucked ref tonight, I don't blame our Pavel, as he doesn't deserve even one single yellow. He'll be missed the next game... FORZA PAVEL

Del Piero 7.5 Great game from Il Capitano, great display first half, some nice show, ball control, dribbling and also scoring. His 2nd half was also good, he was fouled alot tonight...and I understand his frustration, good thing Ranieri subbed him as he was looking really angry. :star:

Trezeguet 5.5 He looked much more solid in the first half, he wasn't served alot tonight, hopefully he'll do better next time.

Palladino 6.5 He's got some Del Piero in him

Not a good performance but who cares,we won and that means 3 points:weee.

Buffon Was up to his task as always.

Grygera More lively in the first half, overall he was solid.

Legrottaglie What do I have to say?The only thing that differs him right now from Cannavaro is his looking;).My MOM:D

Chiellini Good job at CB as usual,I'm still undecided wether I prefer him on the left or in the centre.

Molinaro Had some good runs offensively, defensively solid but has to work on his crosses.

Nedved Gave the assist to the only goal, despite that still not the good old Neddy and a stupid red card.

Nocerino Was all over the pitch,he showed why he deserves to be a regular at Juventus.

Zanetti Made some good passes and tackles.Solid.

Salihamidzic Is it me or isn't he a good option as a right midfielder? He is way better as a right-back where he has no chance to challenge Grygera IMO.So bench.

Del Piero Nice goal, good moves and overall a good answer to his critics.

Trezeguet Worked and helped the midfield, but hasn't had the opportunities to score.

Subs

Palladino He just gets a few minutes, but he always manages to show what he is about.Good technique and dribbles.

Almiron Hasn't had much impact.

Ranieri IMO he shouldn't have lined up a flat 4-4-2 with Salihamidzic, instead he should have lined up a 4-3-3 with Palladino instead of Sali.Salihamidzic didn't deserve to stay 90 min. on the pitch due to his poor performance.Despite that Ranieri should have used all three substitutions.Well,I wasn't really expecting to see Tiago on the pitch today, but it would have been nice to see him.

Ref: BASTARD!

tdon't worry what i say my freind, this is just temper talk :pint: , i am just pissed becuase i want Juve always to be the best but right now we are off-track.
Off track? Dude, we're in 2nd place, 3 points off the leaders. That's pretty damn good for this team. You want off track? Look at Milan.

The referee was a fucking c*nt...he seemed like a guy who couldnt believe he was wearing a yellow referee shirt and with yellow and red cards in his pocket...i believe he was saying "OMG i have 2 cards in my hand and this gives me power...how about i f*ck things up???"
i dont believe Neddy deserved a red card...even guys from TV are wondering about it...ex-players are talking about it too...the game was over thats it!!!
and about ranieri...F*CK OFF thats what u get from any coach when u whistle shitty shit bang bang balls for the opposite team...even my grandma noticed that it was juve's ball there...
just a tip for the FIGC...just quit arguing about the least number of italian players for an italian team, and set normal referee in a match and hire a fine experienced coach for ur national team, so neither we the supporters nor the young italian players get disgusted from ur football...
and by the way...i am a juve and azzuri fan for more than 10 years and i wont quit being a fan im sure...just hope that things would be rather better in the coming weeks or years...

Legrottaglie, Del Piero, Nocerino and Chiellini shined in this game.

Salihamidzic, Molinaro and Trezeguet left quite a bit to be desired.

Grygera, Zanetti, Buffon were fine. Nedved was too until he completely lost his head. The ref was a green idiot though. Should be reffing Serie C1, out of his depth and lost control of the game.

As for the subs, Almiron was only out there 15 mins, but enough to be considered below par. Palladino was excellent.

So we should have paid twice that much for Milito? And please do name this supposed laundry list of Andrade injuries. I can only think of two times that come to mind in recent years that were that significant, and one of them coming after the contract was made.

Don't go around using hindsight to make yourself look like some soothsayer.
so on the hole transfer market there were just milito and andrade
thx for the info

Buffon 8 - Perfect as usual
Grygera 6 - solid display
Legrottaglie 7 - became a decent defender
Chiellini 6 - in first half made two stupid fouls, but thank God refferee is blind
Molinaro 5,5 - nothing special, almost made a mistake which could cost as a goal
Salihamidzic 5 - he got five only cuz he played whole match, but seriously he was bad, he can't cross the damn ball right
Nocerino 6 - dissapeared for one part of the game
Zanetti 5.5 - he knows better
Nedved 6 - he get's six only because his cross for Ale, he showe some signs of himself in the last minutes (his runnings etc.) but really needs to cool his temper, and the break he will get should help him
Del Piero 7 - finally an old-new Alex, he showed his best, he lost pace but his dribbling skills are making it up (should play behind striker IMO)
Trezeguet 5 a typical Trez performance, when he scores he gets 7-8, but when he doesn't he gets 5-5.5

Palladino came late but showed great skills and potential he have.

it looked like he had that hunger and desire back in his eyes, along with a new hair cut :p
much more like his usual self!

Palladino really impressed me again, very direct and creative. he must be pushing for a start soon!

How can you say that?
He was already in the air when the ref blowed his whistle, plus i can assure you if what Pavel did was during the game and not the end, he wouldn't have been booked for this. As it happened over 100times during the game.

Very dire.

Our play is shit. We rely on ageing declining stars to decide our matches. We can only keep going like this for so long..
We can keep going like this until the youngsters learn from the ageing stars on how to decide games. I know you said that because Papa Waigo played against us :D

Hear this ,

In 8 matches Juve players conceeded 24 yellow cards (Zanetti 5, Nocerino 3, Nedved 3, Legrotagllie 3, Chiellini 3, Iaquinta 2, Zebina 1, Criscito 1, Trezeguet 1, Salihamidzic 1, Del Piero 1) and 3 red cards ( Nedved, Zebina, Ranieri)

In these 8 matches our opponents conceeded 19 yellow cards and 1 red card

We conceeded 3 penalty kicks and we were given 2 penalty kicks

MILAN
12 yellow cards for Milan players (all these guys got 1 YC each : Seedorf, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Jankulovski, Dida, Emerson, Inzaghi, Pirlo, Kaka, Kaladze, Gilardino, Favalli) and there were NO Red cards for Milan players

Milan's opponents got 20 yellow cards and 1 red card

Milan conceeded 0 penalty kicks and they were given 4 penalties

And yet, overall points, JUVE 17 : MILAN 10

The only reason he got booked was because he was angry to begin with and since he was seen in what appeared to be a midair challenge the ref gave him the card.

The commentators were amused at the referee, they kept saying that he's young and inexperienced.

Good findings

No wonder why Galliani looked like a fart at today's game...oh wait, he's always like that.

We were very lucky in that Genoa couldn't find the back of the net because we totally lost control of the match half way through the second half. We no longer pushed forward and it seemed as if we lost the battle in midfield. I'm telling you right now this straight 4-4-2 is not going to work with the personnel we have at the moment, as we don't have decent enough wingers to put in the crosses and actually trouble better teams on the flank. And with Zanetti and Nocerino in the center we do not have anybody who can conduct the proceedings and keep posession, which is why we lost control of the match.

I'll say it time and time again: we need Almiron or Tiago in this team if we actually want to challange for the title. Without somebody who has the finesse to control our proceedings in midfield, we will either not trouble decent sides going forward or not be able to hold a lead. Ranieri needs to do away with this straight 4-4-2 and use fucking Tiago for a change.

Too many mistakes also laced our performance. Thank goodness for Buffon as he saved our asses once again, especially after the nice assist by Molinaro to Sculli.

I don't understand why, after two years with Capello at the helm, we continue resorting to the long ball bullshit. But when you look at the players and formation we put out there, it's obvious that the long ball is the only method of attack we actually have at our disposal. I thought with Ranieri we would rid ourselves of that inane "tactic" for lack of a better word, but we still subscribe to it and that is another reason why we lost control of the game.

We also apparently cannot keep our heads. While the referee was truly an imbecile, we cannot keep throwing our arms around recklessly a la Chiellini, we cannot continue mouthing off to the referee and we cannot keep mounting up silly yellows. Nedved's anger in particular rose exponentially through the match, and while his anger and passion is what drives us to many wins, he should have curtailed it a bit. Although it was humorous how after the final whistle he stepped over Konko and kept walking away while the red card was being served. Even with the red card you still have to love Pavel.

Buffon was great, as usual. Save our asses many times. 7

Grygera was solid and even put in some good crosses, all of which better than Hasan's. 6

Legrottaglie was superb. I'm not sure how he revived his career here at Juventus, but he looks like our best defender thus far this season. 6.5

Chiellini really needs to control his arms. 6

Molinaro tends to worry me back there. Sure, he's good going forward, but when you see a defender nonchalantly head on a ball to the opposing attacker for a chance on goal, you know something is wrong. 5

Salihamidzic didn't make one good cross all night and wasted opportunities. No idea why Ranieri kept him on. 5

Nocerino was all over the pitch and winning balls, but I'm telling you right now he's no Pirlo-esque player. Whomever said that needs to watch this player a little more. 6

Zanetti had a usual, solid performance, but with these two central midfielders we don't have any ideas with the ball whatsoever. 6

Nedved fought hard again for us tonight and assisted on the goal. What a player. His anger rose exponentially through the match. 6

Trezeguet was active in the first half but you know David... it's either a goal or nothing. 5

Del Piero looked rejuvenated, toying with defenders in the first half, really causing Genoa problems. Good to see Alex looking better these days. 7

Palladino looked good for the time he was on. Lets start him next time, please.

Ranieri continues to piss me off with these squad choices. People call this guy the Tinkerman yet he doesn't even use our most expensive signing. He also apparently cannot control his anger and that spreads to the rest of the side. Sure, we're challanging for the title right now, but if we continue on like we are currently, the floor will fall right out from under us. 4
