Then having Giannichedda on the field is like playing with 10 players. Studied him very objectively to se what impacts he has on the game. It is a myth he is good in defense!!! He does not even cut of space for the opponents. Is NEVER involved in the offensive game witch leaves Emerson alone with something he is not even good at. Here you have our problem. When Viera is gone we try to compensate that by playing a defensively good player. Well…, it just ruins our game.
Unfortunately I concur with you. Giannichedda just does not warrant a place on the pitch...in some aspects even Blasi has more to offer, which is a scary thought indeed.

Sweet...TBH, I'd take Abbiati over Peruzzi anyday anytime.
I think Peruzzi's a much better keeper. Abbiati can be very good once in a while but he's never consistently reliable. Sometimes even when we keep a cleansheet Abbiati seems quite shaky.

Peruzzi is good...and he was one of the best, Ofcoarse with his experience I wouldn't mind him being a 2nd goalkeeper, but we have to face it that he's over 35 now I guess...and that he's not the keeper he was before, hell ya he was one of the best goalkeepers in the world....but what I saw against Scotland couple of months back doesn't keep me warm. Anyhow we have enough time infront of us...So we'll see.

Fabio Capello is satisfied with the performance of the squad who beated Samp and achieved the ninth win in the championship out of 9 matches. “I saw great will and determination, to testify that the squad is very solid. It hasn’t been easy with the Blucerchiati, they played a good first part of the match then they slowed down in the final while we built up. They had the occasion to earn a draw with Diana but, on the other side, we did not make the most of the occasion we created when we found ourselves three against one in the first half”. A word about the two strikers of the match: “Trezeguet is always at the right place at the right time. Mutu has improved a great deal, we helped him too get through a hard time but the merit is all his own. Moreover, tonight he’s run a lot playing in a role that it’s not his favourite, that of right fielder. Then he gathered the fruits of his great sense of goal”
