I know Matuidi is not flavour of the month but Rabiot was awful when he came on against Parma. I think he lost the ball three times in a row and two were countering chances. He hasn't played real matches for months.

These new players need time, I know people are impatient but this clamour to get them in the line up ASAP can be detrimental. Eventually the team will settle but right now the coach needs to pick who is most ready to play.
The best way to get him up to speed for when we actually need him is to start him in games like that and on his preferred side as opposed to giving him cameos on the wrong side of the midfield just to accommodate a player we already know is not good enough.

This cautious introduction of players is unnecessary. Most clubs start their new signings quickly and get them firing and in form ASAP

I still laugh at Sandro and Morata being completely ignored for months when their direct competition was absolutely dreadful.

But you don't see what is happening in training or the condition of players, so essentially you're saying that you know better than club staff.

That Alex Sandro, Morata or others ended up being important players, does it mean that you are validated in your opinion? You could easily say the club got it right easing them in.

Rabiot isn't match fit and I think that's just common sense given how long he was in the stands at PSG, but of course he has to play and will be an important player, just not from the first minute of the first game. Give it two more games and people will be asking why Ramsey is not starting.

I really really hate playing Napoli this soon. I hoped for few easy games under Sarri for players to get use to new system. He wont even be on the bench to shout instructions. Id take un ugly win here.

Why didn't we go for Tonali? :fab:
We would have send him back to Brescia on loan anyway...

I don't mind those players who were supposed to be sold and stayed anyway, they are a decent back up, but not good enough for main 11. We are okay, once again we'll get the job done come May, we are nowhere near perfect, but no other club really is, some of the big ones have more issues even than us, it remains to be seen who hits top form in March and who fails, pretty sure that even with the handicap of having an incompetent and mediocre coach the players will be ready when it matters..

They hate it even more IMO. We'll demoralize them in the 2nd round already lol

He's better than both Matuidi and Rabiot though. Hasn't proven that he is 105 mil. € worthy though. That was a good move by Marotta.

Cellino didn't want to sell Tonali this summer. No reason to do so, and Tonali didn't want to push for a move. Better for them to have him and for him to get a season in serie A playing all the minutes.

Szczesny
MDS Bonucci Chiellini Alex Sandro
Khedira Pjanic Matuidi
Bernardeschi Higuain CR7
Back four seems right for this one as I doubt MDL will be given his first start vs Napoli...
I expect Rabiot to start this one as he was integrated as a sub vs Parma
3 forwards - We know the pecking order and it means Bernardeschi is first in line to sub the injured D.C but I wouldnt rule out a Cuadrado surprise..

Baffled as to why we can't play these professional players from day 1 to be honest. Breaking them in like a pack of virgins sees us play older shitter players that do absolutely sweet FA for us.

De ligt played in the CL and captained a team that kicked our ass. Rabiot isnt an 18 yr old...ramsey was a key to arsenal. Danilo regardless of being shit or not has played the game before.

Why the Fuck do we have endure another game seeing Khedira Matuidi and de shittio? Why do we need to give respect to bonucci when while a 70m plus more capable defender sits on bench?

News flash...napoli will rape us if we give them the opportunity.

We will rely on ronaldo on this one...give him the ball at all costs and expect him to score. Meanwhile we have cripples like Khedira in midfield.

I have the feeling that because Sarri isn't there (out sick) to manage the team from the touchline he is opting for the safest possible lineup with the core of players in the team that knows each other the best with Higuain obvious because he knows what Sarri wants better than anyone.

I bet after Napoli/International break you are going to see more new players getting time.

Might be wrong, remind me of this post after the break LOL

Also, we have very capable players that can punish the too if they allow us to. Works both ways. You guys freak out so easily. Maybe we will get crushed, it happens. We started with a clean sheet against Parma with a ton of opportunities to put the game to bed but we have our on going clinical issues in front of goal. THAT should be our focus right now. We create a ton of chances but aren't finishing them enough. We had 14 shots, only 4 on target, only 1 goal...we aren't clinical enough.

Maybe he hopes we can bring him in next summer.
    Never again.
