Don't know about you, but I'm dying to watch Juve play without Molinaro for once this season. I don't think we'll be shaky at all.
He's a full back, he's not as important as the CB's are, so it's true that there might not be a huge difference.
But i'm sure there won't be any improvement.
Chiellini is our everything in defense. Take him out and a match like today's happens. If we put Chiellini to replace Molinaro as LB then we're making a mistake that may cost us the CL next year.
So the only options are Birindelli and a right footed right back/midfielder, Salihamidzic.
Even though none of you will agree with me, i'm sure Molinaro offers more than both of them as LB.
And we've seen our defense without Molinaro. It wasn't any better than it's today. We conceded at least a goal in all the matches where Molinaro didn't play and we were shaky at the back like we've never been before today's match (i'm talking about the matches against Cagliari, Udinese and Roma at the beginning of the season)
