Crazy run:

Genoa 16/9 3-1
Chelsea 19/9 2-2
Chievo 23/9 2-0
Fiorentina 26/9
Roma 29/9
Shakthar 2/10
Siena 7/10

Next after that is a decent rest, 20/10 vs Napoli @ home. Hopefully we win all those games.

I don't know if a partnership of Quag and Gio would work. Quag while scoring goals also likes to often come deep to get the ball and creates chances for his partner. He needs a more number 9:ish striker playing next to him. While Vucinic doesn't exactly fill the bill either, he still does it a lot better than someone like Gio.

They are truly horrible at set pieces. Bartender would be handy against them.
Also our RVP to bitch slap them to submission, fairly easy.

In both domestic legue games, our starters have had to come in at some point to prop things up. For eg., I see no reason why Vidal should've played 45 mins yesterday after the Chelsea ankle scare, or why Vucinic was played for 90 mins on the back of the Chelsea match, prior to which he spent one half against Genoa.

I can see Giachh proving to be a very important component of our machine despite his decision making, his running will be essential. We should be very intelligent with our forward rotation too. The next three matches are essentially going to define where we stand in terms of depth given that we've got some new faces and a new style of play to get them accustomed to. As things stand, I'm not entirely convinced that our depth is awesome, as good as it looks on paper. Vidal Marchisio and Pirlo need sufficient rest before the Shaktar game, and conte/Carrera need to figure a way out to bring Marrone up to speed with the squad because he's going to have multiple roles to play. Hopefully, Pepe should also figure at some point even if there's no 433, coz guys like him and Giacch have tireless running in them and that's going to be a huge tempo booster when we rest our starters.

.

Well when vidal came on we still hadn't scored , so he enetered the field to change the game . As for vucinic , i think he would have been pissed if we would have subbed him . He was pissed that he was subbed in the genoa match and he looked desperate in the search of a goal

I don't think we need to consider people getting pissed at being rested, or wanting game time, when we have such a packed schedule. Made no sense whatsoever to tire Vucinic out when we had Fiorentina and Roma up next. Vidal coming on didn't guarantee changing the game because he was himself coming off a sprain. If anything it would've worked against us, than for us, had he hurt himself out there in those 45 mins. Marchisio is going to tire at some point in the next 10 days, and it might make sense giving Marrone a run in too.

well he was also close to scoring , if he had scored it would have been really good for his confidence

Vucinic played the whole match because he won't play against Fiorentina.

We really needed that third striker entering good form. Allows us to rotate without losing much. It would be ideal if Matri too finds his form from the first half of last season.

I'm interested to see what will Conte do to our attack in the next 10 days. Three tough matches are coming. I expect Giovinco-Quags in Firenze and Mirko to play both Roma and Shakhtar, with Quags partnering Mirko on one of the Roma/Shakhtar matches and Seba partnering him on the other. Then again, Conte might surprise us by including Matri in the mixture.

should be a good game, last year Montella was one of the few coaches in Serie A who had the balls to play positive football against Juve [with Catania]. Cuadrado against Assamoah, Chiellini against Jovetič, Fernandez/Romulo-Pizarro-Borja Valero against Vidal-Pirlo-Marchisio/Giaccherini, some great duels expexted in this game. Quag and Giovinco together sounds fucking unpredictable for the opposing defenders
