Marrone is a holder while Giac does more running and tries to be more creative. I dont think Marrone is what we needed.

Isla could be the vice-Marchisio maybe, he did play as a CM for Udinese.

Few things I disagree with here.

I wouldn't label Marrone as a holder, because he's not rigid, and he's shown that he can play well in the Marchisio role even though he doesn't possess the off the ball runs that Marchisio is good at.

Giaccherini being more creative is probably by being in a more attacking position, but Marrone is able to do his own creating. He's a good passer, and has better technique that Giaccherini.

I think Isla will be wasted if we use him in any position that isn't on the right wing.

Haven't been able to put my finger on why we were so poor in this game. I'm not really worried about the dropped points but rather about the way we played.

Fiorentina dominated from beginning to end. They out muscled, out-smarted, out-ran, and out-played us in nearly every facet of the game. I haven't seen Juve dominated in this way since Conte took over and it's actually worrying to see. Fiorentina have demonstrated to everyone that we're definitely not invincible.

I've almost given up on Giovinco, due to his size, he's only effective when playing wide. Otherwise he gets pushed off the ball like he's not there.

Quagliarella got ahead of himself after scoring a couple and again showed that he's not the type of striker we need.
I'd almost be tempted to start Bendtner with Vucinic against the Romans.

It's 1 game, stop knee jerking.

Quagliarella has a not great game off the back of two awesome ones in a match where pretty much everyone was terribad and know he's not what we need? Gimme a break.

Bendtner? Are you kidding? At this rate I would still start Gio over Matri. 1. Mirko 2. Quag 3. Matri 4. Gio (or Mirko backup) 10000000. bendtner
