Agreed it was pretty even between Asamoah and Cuadrado, I enjoyed watching that duel :D although I do think Asa came out on top, and he had some impressive tackles winning the ball back and that electrifying pace! Poor Licht on the other side looked quite the opposite.
Yeah that was a perfect tackle, loved it. (talking about that slide) especialy since you can barely pressure that fcker Cuardado (was sure i misspelled his name :D) and get the ball from him.
Licht had more freedom and attacked more, but duo to lack of support/poor play upfront, he had to do alot of running up and down.

Abysmal performance. The players looked tired, and Fiorentina ran us ragged. We were quite fortunate to escape with a point. Our best players after Asamoah, were Lady Luck and the crossbar.

It's obvious that our attack is absolutely non-existent and dysfunctional without Vucinic. I guess he has to play all the big games, and can be rested against the lesser lights of the league.

A very good point, given the circumstances (and the fact that we probably deserved to lose). Our unbeaten streak continues :)

Up Next: Roma. Fuck Zeman and makes those lame wolves bleed.

Listen, I always rated Asamoah, not only did he impress me in Udinese, but he's always been more impressive than the more popular(at the time) Muntari and Essien in the NT. But I thought he'd struggle playing as a wingback, he's been quite good so far, yesterday he was amazing, Cuadrado looked average in front of him, he barely got a sniff.

Looks like he's going to turn out to be a really good signing, we all knew he was a very good midfielder, but most of us didn't expect such versatility.

I don't see the point in solely making Giovinco or Giaccherini responsible for yesterday's poor performance. Our attack as a whole was just miserable. As was our midfield with a mediocre Pirlo, who definitely needs a rest. We have seen that, with Vidal only, we cannot compensate a "tired" maestro. It needs Marchisio and Vidal to do that. Pogba looked good though. He should play more often.

Well last night match showed this season wont be a walk in the park after all. Milan and Inter are weaker then last season but there will be a lot of other tough away matches.

In he next few weeks the most important match for us will be the one against Shaktar at home.

what's our fixture like after next weekend? If we get some breaks I think we will be able to recuperate. I think we do have depth and the players, thought it was odd sticking to Giacc when he was outmuscled and we have the likes of Marrone (whom, Conte is apparently determined to turn into a CB, but I like him in midfield too) - in any case I think we will fare better as the season goes on, but we definitely lack good movement up front in games like this to create space.

We don't have a break of more than 3-4 days for quite a while I think. Siena @ Siena is on the 8th and Napoli @ JS is 20th but apparently there are two WCQs inbetween...
