I would have to think about that notion more to fully understand what this club "wants" because its a highly difficult subject matter. However I think the Cons would outweigh the Pros with Nedved out of side. Our midfield would become even more one-dimensional without the presence of Nedved and there would go our scoring threat from the middle of the park.

Nonono, Stuart don't mean the penalty Zlatan took at the euro2004. In one of the qualifiers for euro 2004 zlatan took a penalty that was really Kim Källström's to take. An källström was pissed at zlatan about it he told press long afterwards. And zlatan said "hey what's the big deal, if i'd have done that in ajax and scored Koeman wouldn't have mind, only if I didnt score would he have mind" sooo zlatan is a jerk sometimes

If I may...if you want to listen to the comments of a Milanista with no favored player on your team .. my two cents:

Zambrotta, Cannavaro and Buffon have been the absolute pillars of this team this season. You can bet the family farm they are going to deliver. Emerson is close on that list but his difficulty comes out much more especially when he has an uncomfortable and unconfident Del Piero and 'puzzled' Nedved who can only muster a few good dribbles before shooting wide. Zlatan is a selfish player in a tactical way (not personal attack). He would score much more with a KAKA or Rui Costa behind him...
I think Camoranesi has been a pleasant surprise..in the past when OTHERS performed he did not...this season when Nedved is lost in the shuffle he seems to bring it up a notch.
Solution: I don't know...they are in an odd position. They are still in first place and have been FAR FROM FAILURES THUS FAR...BUT at the time since the Milan match-up have not regained a good form (they barely scraped by Livorno .... it was touch and go till the late PK). The DP situation and return of Trez. does not help. Nor does the purchase of Mutu. Alex is a very humble and classy player. That said he is also easily discouraged and the acquisition of a new forward and return of another coupled with his riding the bench is turning him into more and more of the Mr. Hyde "Del Piero" who can't break out of his 'rut'.

I would also bench Zebina as his performance is starting to resemble Montero's in the past few years. Either TERRIBLE FOUL or TERRIBLE ERROR.

Nice summary of the team Nick. I want to highlight your opinion that Ibrahimovic would be much more effective with a player like Kaka behind him, which I certainly agree with. This Juventus side would be so much better if we had a talented NATURAL playermaker in the side, and by that I mean somebody who can actually make sense with the ball and control our flow. Right now the closest thing we are to having a "flow" is Nedved passing it up to Zlatan and letting him try to dribble around the opposition attack again and again. I think the obvious problem lies in the midfield and our creativeness, or lack there of.

I've said it time and again. For once, we need to change our defensive outlook. I mean, who goes to South America and buys defensive midfield players: Mascherano. Quite clearly, Nedved isnt able to bring game day in and day out. And you cant blame him can you? There isnt any other player on the team with an ounce of creativity wherever you look around him, save Ibra. Everyone else is tactically adept, with a good work ethic. But creatively speaking, Nedved is all we have and we need to change that statistic. Like i've said earlier, a little Brazilian flair would be the ideal complement to an otherwise defensively superior unit.

I am very disappointed i dont know what to say , i almost broke the table when caliari scored

it is a shame when juve control the match the same as in parma match and only rely on a goal till the end until a player who is 150 cm tall (zola) scores a goal with his head?????where is our defence .offcourse buffon is not to blame , but i think with performance like this we DONT DESERVE THE SCUDETTO . milan comes from goal down to win while juve cant win a match evan when they are ahead , IT IS A SHAME

Not the best scenario for us, we should win that game now Milan r even closer to us...
Rating of my view point:

Buffon 6.5: I cannt remmber any real test for Gigi before 83'min but he make two fantastic save in the last 10'min and u can never ask him for the goal he concede.

Zebina 6.5: he did his best even if he is not that effective in attack

Canna 6: not a very special day for canna.

Thuram 6.5: he manage to be a lil bit more confidence than Canna (he should be as he was holding the captin armband)

Zambro 6: good first half but almostly nothing in the second.

Blasi 6: a lot of hard tackles, runs and a yellow card a very ordinary day for Manuele.

Emerson 7: he dominate the midfield on his special way, I see a statistics in the first half telling that juve possess the ball for 12'min and cagliari 5'min u can thank Puma for that.... not to mention he had his first serie A goal with juve.

Camo 6.5: he was good!!! but from time to time he had to do some stupid dribbling to make u sure he still Camoranesi....

Neddy 6: Seriously we need a solution for this....

Zlatan 7: I know most of u won't rate him that high but he was great if u ask me, every touch he manage to create somthing dangerous or win us a foul, I have to agree that somtimes Capello should not take him off the field cuz he really can do somthing special....

Trezeg 6: not 100% fitness...

DP 5.5: not a lot of playing time but enough to say he was bad yesterday...

Appiah 4: I cannt belive this is a player of juve standard, every time he pass the ball its go outside for a throwin to cagliari.... no no wait i remmber not always once he manage to lose the ball and we concede a goal :fero:
even a red card blasi could done us better .....

we were too defensive and even the changes made us loose more attacking power,
unless this was a test to prepare the team for champions league games,
were juve will have to defend 95' and attack1/2", i believe that blasi was the wrong tool for this one,
cap afraid the attacking power of cagliari,

by the second half make us creative, score a couple of times and then he sould rest trezegoal for his appiah and press the sleep button.
we dont face real for god s shake, its only cagliari we can afort a 4-3-1-2
i still believe we have the potential to beat cagliari and we dont have to buy ronaldinio for this,
our problem is scoring,
we dont need 2defensive mid to play games like that, anyway we concead goals we souldnt,i dont believe cagliari could score twice and even if they did,
after the first time the beast would be awake and crush them.

IMO camo and emerson are fit enough to keep the right part clear
Neddy can cut a lot of balls and help emerson to dominate the center without the need to create everything,he can do that.
Olivera just keep the ball and pass it on, he can do that!
Camo; cover the right flank, run a lot,TRY to make a cross or take a foul,he can do that.
Alex, u dont have to score, just DO smth, create! just be there 2 defs sould cover alex the great, cause one is not enough, that means Zlatan sould just get envolved mix up all the def, as he always does, make the pass he did the first minutes of the game to treze and
Trezegoal.... just score man, he can, if get the chanceS!!!
all this goes for teams like cagliari,
with real we might play with the same eleven we did, but much more seriusly, i hope

these r very tough times for juve;
i disagree about the attacking formation,its not the right way to go. Serie will just eat u up if u play like that, even an attacking minded team cannot beat "every defense".
The good thing about milan is that they have balance in midfield, players like gattuso, seedorf provide good defensive work and seedorf and pirlo play well in attack.

i seem to see that ppl r implying that manuele blasi is our weekest link in the team. i dont think soo, he does wat he is asked for and nothing more, he doesnt attack very well SOOO WATT? he passes well, good tackeling, and he is a hardworking fella in midfield, i just cant beleive that ppl would put the blame on OUR lack of attack and scoring.

i think we dont score many goals, is not becuz we defend after we score, dont think that capello asks the players to defend. Remember that we dont have that much depth in the squad, so the difference between the begining of the season and now, is that capello asks the players to conserve their energies, he fears tirness late in the season.

also one of the weakest link is that now players know that zlatan likes to keep the ball, so they defend against him with numbers.

the thing we can do :
just think reasonably we wont get any midfielders, just put that in ur head.So i think is just giving more playing times for kapo,olivera and alex. am not the biggest fan of alex, i admire him and i respect him, but i think he has good attributes from both trezi( he can pass better, and create) and zlatan(hes just a better finisher). So he is the key, and olivera with kapo can give us some kind of surprise in midfield.

I'm not convince with trezeguet .... and that not bcuz of yesterday ...
I just hate when he receive the ball in the middle of the field, he looks around for any avaliable player to pass the ball, it looks like he just wanna get rid of it....
sorry Trezeguet fans but Trezeguet don't know how to run with ball or dribble, outside the area my grandmama r better player than him....
he is a good finisher !!!! not enough for me......
