Roma are talking like they have a chance to win the league. Spaletti ".. keep our eyes on the prize". It's amazing what beating the best team in the league can do. :D
I wrote about that in the LIVE thread. They think that they win the CL final last night.

I am not overconfident about Juve. I just pointed out that every time we lost a game this season in the next game we came back with vengeance. I think this will be no different especially after hearing the interviews of Bonucci and Max.
Also as Post Ironic pointed out none of the teams Crotone have beaten or drew had anything to play for.
Not a single time after a loss we had a Coppa Italia final in between.

Serious question, are you retarded?

It's quite obvious we are fans here, not players, and we can be as overconfident as we want. I'm sure the players will work hard and not underestimate the fact that any team can beat any team on their day. Every dog has its day as the phrase goes. But I'd also prefer my team not to go into this match like a bunch of tittering pansies terrified of not beating the 18th place side in Serie A in our own stadium with the scudetto on the line. Athletes put in their best performances when they are confident and self-aware of their qualities. Not when they are acting like Crotone is a Champion's League level team.

Those pissing their pants about losing/drawing to both Crotone and Bologna, clearly think we are a mediocre fucking team, because those are two rubbish teams and managing to draw or lose to both of them would be utterly pathetic and a disgrace. So I'm going to assume you all won't be too disappointed if we lose the scudetto, because ya know, we're hardly better than Crotone. They can easily get a result in Turin..
Not really, I do not think we are a mediocre team, far from it but it is obvious that we have been suffering in the league. Atalanta, Torino and Roma in a row and we are to meet the second best team in the second half of the season who has been doing their best to survive. They will not play a mid week match and we have seen so many of these matches where a team shows more will than us to get a result that they are capable of doing it. Evere since the Atalanta match you have been saying the same thing and that one win has not come yet. And last night Allegri obviously played for the draw and then he panicked and put Dybala on. Pressure is piling and we have two players that well known to crack under pressure, great players but time after time they have shown that they DO crack under pressure. Surprisingly they are our key players.

So you have no right go mocking anyone worried about how we are coping with the league because the disappointment in losing the league is much bigger than the joy of winning it.

it's pretty rare to see the complete juve defense fail and concede ridiculous goals. all of buffon, licht, benatia, bonucci and asa could have done a lot more to prevent roma from scoring. also, cuadrado has been on sedatives for weeks now.

there are 3 do or die matches left, and the whole team needed this wake up call.

Sorry, you are completely ignoring the fact we haven't had a must win game yet in Serie A until Crotone and Bologna. Crotone at home. We were far enough ahead that we could afford to rotate heavily the last couple of weeks and focus on getting to the CL final and now winning Coppa. If you want to go full retard about this, be my guest.

Do you know what our record is at home this year? 17 wins, 1 draw. Do you know what Crotone's record is against the top 5 teams in the table this season? 0 wins, 0 draws, 8 losses. 2 goals scored, 18 goals conceded. Away from home they are 0 wins-4 losses. 0 goals scored, 9 conceded.

So yes, I am going to mock those shitting their pants against a team that hasn't got a single result against a top 5 team in Serie A, has been outscored by 16 goals in those 8 matches, and hasn't scored a single away goal in 4 matches against top 5 teams.

People need to grow some balls. If we lose this match it's a catastrophe because it's so bloody unlikely. We're playing a shit team, in our own stadium, with the chance to clinch the scudetto in front of our own fans. Our record is real bad in Serie A the last 6 years, eh, that we need to be melting down about it being a real possibility that we will throw away the Scudetto.

And JCK. If we do fail against Crotone, I will worry then, and be upset then. And think it's incredibly disappointing for us to bottle things that bad and be in a do or die away to Bologna then. Not a week in advance of what should be a cakewalk regardless of their good form against mid-table squads lately.

People here acting like we've played man united or arsenal, Roma is actually a very decent team, especially at home and running. We've rested a bunch of players and didn't score our chances, while Roma scored almost everything they had. I mean Licht fucked up big time, but give el shaverma 10 tries and he will miss 10 of them. It's a football ffs, nothing is fucked.
A couple of things to be worried about after yesterday: 1) Mandzu 2) incredible gap in quality between first 11 and reserve, especially in fullbacks department, it was not a surprise clearly, but still quite shocking.

The morning after this dodgy result. Woke up did my 5mtr run, showered up, breakfast, thought about knocking one out. Went to the bank, bought a latte, got home, thought about picking up a few weights, saw the post on the floor and thought that'll do me instead.

Nice to have Mondays off. Might shove the PS4 on and annoy people online. :klin:

God, the players themselves lookd like they gave zero fucks. I would understand if it was our starters but what are the reserves playing like that for.
about the reserves: licht and asa were awful, stu had a good game (even brilliant by his usual standards), and lemina did okay, too.

our back 4 + buffon were really disappointing. especially benatia, who was one of our worst players against both genoa and roma, and we conceded 3 on both occasions.

You guys totally missed the idea that we want to do the scudetto fiesta home? And that Juventus hardly ever presses harder than it's needed?

We're gonna lose the league! We're gonna lose the league!

And now you're gonna believe us and now you're gonna believe us!

At least we did it on purpose to make Serie A seem more competitive and ergo more appealing to foreign stars.

Real play their last game before CL final 21th of May. Juve plays 28th of May. And that has nothing to do with copas. La liga ends 1 week earlier. Real has 7 more days to prepare/rest/concentrate fully on CL.

Real remaining fixtures:

17th of May @ Celta Vigo

21th of May @ Malaga

Juve remaining fixtures:

17th of May @ Lazio (Copa)

21th of May Crotone

28th of May @ Bologna

CL final 3rd of June
Basically we must win vs Crotone, then we can rotate what ever reserves for Bologna.

I'm not sure that is an advantage. 1 week is plenty of rest, 2 weeks is too much.

It was a pathetic performance, particularly in the 2nd half, but this is just the type of wake up call the team needed. Now, we have 3 must win games over the next three weeks, starting with the Coppa Final against Lazio. As I mentioned in another thread, our lack of quality options in midfield is something I'm sure the management will address in the summer. We can't go in next year with mediocre Serie B level hacks like Sturaro, Lemina, and Rincon as our options off the bench. We need one quality reinforcement in midfield, an eclectic quality winger, Schick, and Conti. I don't ever want to see Licht in a Juve jersey again. The guy is well and truly past it. We should've shipped him off with Evra back in January.

And it's possible we lose both games and end up in 3rd. We could be up 30 points with 11 rounds left and lose a scudetto because it's a real possibility according to this inane logic. your basically just saying that you haven't won the scudetto until you have. Obvious.

Crotone's form of their life has seen them beat Inter, Samp, Chievo, Udinese. All teams with nothing to play for in the middle of the table. They haven't beaten or even drawn a top team in this streak. The two matches prior to it against Napoli and Viola were losses.

"Real possibility" is just an absurd way to put it. One could say it became a very slim possibility today, but he's making it sound like it's a 50/50 whether we don't win either of our two games

All because we lost Roma after destroying Monaco in the CL semis. I'm sure our heads were in this meaningless game.

As I said. And Allegri has said, and Conte has said, and Gigi has said... you don't lose the scudetto by splitting home/away with the second place team in the league. You lose it if you can't beat the minnows. Like Crotone (18th) and Bologna (14th). If we can't beat those teams we don't deserve the scudetto. Losing to 2nd away is pretty normal.
Come on dude, I know you are perfectly capable of discussing things without stooping to such lows. You're one of the best posters here when you want to be, don't know why you insist on strawmanning & misrepresentations so often.

I did not say it was 50/50, at all. I flat out said it was improbable a few posts before yours here. But it has come down to just two games here, and that means a lot of things are a lot more probable right now. If you roll a dice 10 times it's borderline impossible to get a 1 with all tries, but if you roll it just two times that might just happen. Similarly, I can see Juve having two bad/unlucky games, but not 10.

So do I believe we're going to lose the Scudetto? No, of course not. We're easily favorites against both Bologna & Crotone and our record bumping back from defeats has been very strong. But it has become something I can realistically imagine.

You disagree here, that's fine.
