Buffon

Licht Rugani Barza Sandro

Pereyra Hernanes Sturaro

Cuadrado Zaza Morata

We definitely need to rest Marchisio, Pogba and Dybala.
I think these 3 players, specially Marchisio, are on the limit of exhaustion.

Marchisio sacrifices a lot as the DM, and when he's tired his quality on passing drops a lot.

Dybala hasn't been that great in the past matches because of exhaustion, IMO.

This team is more than enough to beat Bologna. Actually if you see today's highlights, Udinese got a legal goal nullified, hit the post 2 or 3 times and Zapata missed a sitter in the last minute.

Bologna is a decent team, but not that good.

I think we hold a good chance against Bayern and we should go for it.
Bologna would be in 4th place if the season started the day Donadoni was hired. Bologna would've been in 3rd place had the season started 14 rounds ago. There's a good chance this game will be tougher than the one vs Inter.

It's not a good idea to rest more than one player per line for this game. Bonucci and Dybala would be my picks for defense and attack, and Sturaro and Pereyra will obviously start at CM and AM.

One of Marchisio and Pogba can be substituted out early in 2nd half if we have a two-goal lead. Padoin can also relieve Steiner/Evra later in 2nd half. That's pretty much the best we can do in terms of rotation/rest.

Buffon
Steiner Rugani Barzagli Evra
Sturaro Marchisio Pogba
Pereyra
Zaza Morata

From yesterday, maybe this has been posted already:

Allegri: "Padoin could play in the place of Cuadrado. Pereyra can play 65-70 minutes, he could be a useful option from the bench."

Lord Padoin to the rescue?

    @Azzurri7 ---> Donadoni is a good coach.

You're judging him on his poor Italy career. He has been good with Bologna, and done admirably well as a coach (and as a man) during the mess of Parma.
