Top players cost a lot of money. When we sign some average/good players we complain about the lack of quality, but when we try to compete for the absolute top drawer players, it's all too expensive?

I'm not saying we should go all Man. City this mercato, which surely, we won't ( can't.. ), but that's the price you pay really. It's one way or the other. Sanchez would be a bit cheaper, but you don't know what kind of wages we'd offer Aguero.

Exactly, we don't pass up this kind of player because we "haven't signed a proper right back yet"...

What is funny about that? You wanting Ziegler and Grygera to be our fullbacks is what's funny.

definately agree. If we don't spend we don't win.

Don't get me wrong here, I don't want a team with Aguero in it, but Motta as RB either. It's just that I don't think we'll ever get anywhere if we keep looking at second tier players, so we have to bite the bullet some time. The timing doesn't get much better when you're about to open a new stadium, does it?

Surely we'll get ourselves a RB, but I doubt it we'll change our targets for that position because we've spent more on Aguero. It will be someone like Lichtsteiner, whether we sign Aguero, Sanchez or some other very expensive player.

Considering the options and lack of REAL QUALITY RIGHT BACKS OUT THERE, Licht is not a bad option at all. When you consider what I just said about RBs being available versus the option to sign someone like Kun, you go with the above average Licht and superstar Kun that will be the replacement of DP for the next decade. The science behind that is not all too complicated.

Ziegler isn't that bad and is certainly a step up and people are already writing him off and it sounds like Beck/Licht are already being written off too. Fantastic.
