The seedings for qualification for the 2007 Asian Cup have been determined, with Japan, China, Iran, Bahrain, Uzbekistan and Bahrain being named as the top ranked teams for the draw that will take place on January 4.
The seeding system was decided on performances in, and qualifying for, the 2004 Asian Cup, leaving South Korea and Saudi Arabia in the second pot. New members Australia are the bottom seed and the four hosts - Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand - automatically qualify.

Qualification will begin on February 22.

Pot C (seeds 13-18) 13. UAE, 14. Yemen, 15. Syria, 16. Lebanon, 17. Singapore, 18. Hong Kong.

One question on everybody's mind is... What the feck is Australia doing in there? Go do your own oceania competition, dammit..
I'd love to draw Australia in our group... See what we can do to them... (yeah, right... :p)

Where do you guys come from anyway? Madagaskar?
I come from the lovely island of Choke-nia, a.k.a. Bahrain...

It'll be interesting to see how far they would get our hopes up and then destroy them , this time...
