Can't assume that talent alone will make a great footballer, when a large portion of success is down to mental drive. Having the body of an adult athlete would also be useful.

I think the outpour of raw emotion from the entire stadium during an actual competitive game against Atalanta, where the focus was solely on him and not the actual game once he was subbed off will be far more meaningful than any organised testimonial or friendly game.

I understand your point, but what I was trying to say was that is the moment that will always remain in my mind as his professional goodbye due to the 'spur of the moment' and some sort of club organised acknowledgement has no chance of even coming close to that day.

You just have to let go on how the club treated him, it's difficult after all he gave for the club but unfortunately that's the way it all panned out.
