Look, I have made it VERY VERY clear that i prefer Ramirez to Giovinco. I think that Ramirez at his age is more advanced than Giovinco was at the same age in regards to talent, irrespective of the amount of playing time received during that time frame.

I am probably the only unabashed, unapologetic Ramirez fanboy on this forum.

If I had to choose, I would absolutely choose Ramirez.

That being said, the cost for Ramirez is probably too rich for juve's blood at the moment. Therefore, the money saved from paying above and beyond the 10 million extra for Ramirez could mean the difference between a Dzeko and a Cavani or RVP, for instance.

So he's had a better season than our forward players? Do you think if you swapped Vucinic for Giovinco this season he would have 15 goals and 10 assists?
I don't believe so, to be honest.

And numbers are such a relative arguing point when trying to compare.

I tend to try to look beyond the numbers, and the impact that a player has irrespective of the amounts of goals and assists, and look at how valuable each player was to their respective team.

I feel that they were both of equal value to their teams.

Juve don't win the Scudetto without Mirko, Parma does not end up with a possible Europa league spot without Giovinco.

Which we'll still get neither of by the way.

Giovinco would've been hated here regardless of how his season in Parma went. You see all this hate when he's had an impressive season scoring & assisting goals and being Parma's protagonist. We would've seen worse if he'd performed badly or wasn't impressive there. What more should he do to warrant a return to Juve?

Anyone that does not want Giovinco is crazy... yes Ramirez might be a better player but think of the money we will be saving that we can add to a top class striker.. Paying 6.5m is fine it could of been a lot worse, now stop hating and start being realistic.

Forza Giovinco!!

We will never let Parma have 100% of Giovinco's contract, thats just stupid business right there. No way in hell will we let them have a player who's value is close to 20m like that. At one point we will own 100% of his contract and the big question will be, will we keep him or let him go? And since we already have Vucinic and we're more in need of a finisher like Cavani or Higauin than an SS like Ramirez, Lavezzi we will probably keep him. Also, since Conte seems to be a fan and Marotta has talked highly of Giovinco this season I think he'll definitely be here. At the end of the day, the right choice is to keep him. If you've seen Giovinco play you know he's a special kind of player. He's a very unselfish player and the fact that he has improved in the scoring department is just something I've never really expected him to do.

whats up with all this "ramirez" crap ? he is a player who favours a position which we do not have (trequartista) central attacking midfielder, has way worse scoring and assisting records and looks like a ugly gargoyle. is this the youtube video fapping all over again ? there is no sensible point to make in favour of gaston ramirez. he is worse than giovinco right now and we have no playing/match time to gift to a player just in the hope that he grows as player. leave him in bologna where he gets the match time he needs and continue with that big mouthed midget per favor !

in the past we bought players that did hurt us when playing against them (like trezeguet or zlatan who killed of italy), arguing for giovinco he at least scored multiple times against us, but ramirez did shit. if you look at the statistics against us this season he indeed had 2 assists against us, but those where corners that where just mediocre crosses into a bulk of players. there is not much merrit to this and other than that he was so frickin quiet he could have as well played in a library without anyone noticing.
