ANSA reports that ex-Napoli GK Gianello approached Grava and Cannavaro asking them to fix match (in 2010), but the two refused him.

They will tomorrow be charged with failure to report (same as Conte).

Napoli likely to be deducted couple of points.

Did they really need to ask Grava to lose a match on purpose? He usually did a pretty good job of that anyway.

Napoli got deducted 2 points and Cannavaro and Grava are suspended for six months. Official!
Funny thing about it; whenever figc ban someone, punish some club, they are getting applause around the world for being courageous when it comes to punishing ''cheaters''. Thanks to media, they are like a ''Paragon of Football'' here. Journalists keep mentioning how italian federation did not show mercy to Juventus and our federation should have done the same for fenerbahce.

The FIGC does do a good job in chasing down corruption, it's something of a national pastime anyway. As long as someone is getting fucked half of Italy is happy. Juve are just an easy target.

What they don't do is follow common sense or evidence. This is shown time and again in Italian law, so it's no surprise to see it filter down to something less serious like football.

Italy likes to 'air its dirty laundry', other associations like to keep the false facade. Whether that's for financial reasons or general self-preservation we don't know.
