The feast of fun at the Pinzolo Summer Village just doesn’t let up, least of all when the players are enjoying a well-earned break. Starting bright and early, and ending with a wonderful surprise, Saturday was livelier than ever. Over fifty kids, aged between eight and eleven, kicked-off the fan-friendly-festivities with a spectacular seven-a-side footy tournament. While the eight teams of little champs battled it out on the Parco Pineta turf, the public got their chance to sit back and relax like Deschamps and Del Piero, boarding the team bus for a hands-on guided tour.
The afternoon was dedicated to beauty, charity and passion for the bianconeri; the eagerly-anticipated Miss Summer Village competition was followed by a good old-fashioned raffle (with all proceeds going to the Sant’Anna Hospital in Turin) and finally, with an array of prizes up for grabs, the Superfun Megaquiz on the history of the Old Lady.
After a demonstration by the local fire brigade and a performance by the Presanella choir, the moment of truth had finally arrived; riding into the Summer Village on a choo-choo train, usually seen transporting wee nippers round the streets of Pinzolo, were Alessandro Birindelli, Federico Balzaretti and Pavel Nedved, delighted to give up half an hour of their day off to their fans: “It was the least we could do to return the great warmth and affection they show towards us every day”. The three champions then setting about handing out the prizes to the days winners.:toast:

the children who took part in the footy tournament, won by the Eagles (8-9s) and the Wild Boars (10-11s),:pint:

and the three finalists of the Miss Summer Village pageant, won by the fresh-faced Giulia Bolognini.

A day of photos, autographs and prizes, but above all, an unforgettable moment for all the fans who attended.:)
