Na, he deserves this IMO, from this generation, he is the best, the rest doesn't have his qualities, it is as simple as that.
That's why his grand Slams were easier won than Sampras. During Sampras there were heroes fighting him in every tournament.

    when all the great like sampras,agassi,lloyd,laver, borg etc say that federer is one of the greatest if not the greatest, sampras said yesterday that now federer is the greatest
    there is not much point arguing about his opponents, the guy is a genius at tennis

    Descent, yes, but he's born and raised in the USA and represents the USA. Hence, he's American.

    Not to mention that his mother is American too.
    True, but he represents the U.S because he has the passport, that's about it.
