Nicola Rizzoli has been confirmed as the referee for Saturday night’s clash between Juventus and Roma.
The official has presided over Juventus on 20 occasions, with the Bianconeri yielding seven victories, nine draws and four defeats from these fixtures.
He has also taken charge of two previous Juventus v Roma encounters, both played in Turin.
On 1 November 2008, Claudio Ranieri guided the Bianconeri to a home win at the Stadio Olimpico, with Del Piero and Marchionni finding the target in a 2-0 triumph.
The second fixture, contested on 13 November 2010, saw Totti’s penalty secure a share of the spoils after Iaquinta had put the hosts ahead.
Rizzoli will be assisted at Juventus Stadium by Faverani and Stefani. Maggiani has been named as the fourth official.
