first of all he didnt really said we wont sign him, just that it isnt anymore 100 % certain as it was as there was some tension between Juve mgmt and Mendes.
U could actually say its never 100 % certain if we dont have buy option and any club can just come and pay the clause for him.

Bremer returns next season. Kalulu gets bought. Hancko is likely coming at some point. That’s 4 CBs, and that’s not counting Cabal who can play there as well.

Veigas option/obligation would’ve probably been around what, 20M? Don’t see that figure changing much between now and the summer. If anything he’ll be cheaper since he’s still projected to be a backup at Juve.

So if Juve don’t get Hancko now, then Veiga, and whoever else they do get, is auditioning for a spot next season. I’m not too worried about not having control over a player beyond this season. If they’re good and they wanna stay, they can figure it out. If not, they bounce and we move on.

Yea that's what I mean. That's the end of the regular season so makes sense that the loan ends then but they've worded it like Chelsea wants him to play for them in the world cup
