recording a stream (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

its no secret that I'm a computer idiot, so could someone tell me if it's possible to record a stream from Windows Media player onto my harddrive or onto disk ??

I have windows xp (if that makes any difference)

any help is appreciated !!

Couldn't you use an encoder or something? The only problem is that it might be somewhat choppy.

I wasnt home for the conversation (I dont know why MSN Messenger didnt say I was away), but I was able to read the conversation.

how does this thing work ??

If, for example I have a stream on Windows Media player, how do I record it ??

As I remember it was simple, there was a record button or something. I will take a look at it, give me some time.

Vinny have you switched it on? Try kicking it.

There is the first button on the left (called Begin), you use this to start recording, and the one next to it (called Stop) obviously to stop recording.

I think after you are done with that, you use the Add button to save the file somewhere.
