Fabio Quagliarella expressed his joy at coming off the bench to secure Juventus a well-earned point on their Champions League return.
Describing his goal, the frontman said: “I was about to strike with my left foot, then I realised I was unopposed and instead went one-on-one with Cech. It went well...”
The 29-year-old has found first-team appearances hard to come by so far this season, but certainly gave Antonio Conte plenty to ponder with his devastating impact on the game.
He added: “It’s an extremely important draw. I hoped I’d have a few chances to score when I was called upon. I bagged a goal and also hit the bar. I gave my all. It’s never easy to be on the bench, because you lack that match sharpness. But I’d always hoped for a chance.”
