They're not even that good of a team to me. Look at the names in their starting lineup, a lot of those players are nothing special.

Arteta definitely making them bounce above their weight imo.
100% agree with you man — I reckon they will fall off next season once they have to play harder Champions League fixtures in midweek

Ramsdale, Martinelli, Gabriel, Zinchenko (and Saka to a lesser extent) are not elite

Prime example of how momentum and building a run early on can springboard your season, particularly if rivals have a poor season. Was similar to Milan's title and even our first under Conte, possibly Napoli this year too.

Looking at their squad on paper they have no business being where they are. City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea are way superior and Tottenham also have a team I think are equal to them.

Liverpool being where they are currently is as shocking as Arsenal being at the top.

with the right conditions, players can make a jump in quality, especially at an early age. ödegaard, martinelli, saka, gabriel are all below 25, they found themselves in a system that fits them well, and they are playing pretty consistently. i watched them a few times last year, they seemed to have grown both as individuals and as a team. ödegaard looks especially great, and he's been a hyped talent without any end product for almost a decade now

similar thing happened with milan last year: leao looked like a talented but not very effective player before he became effective, tonali looked like a pirlo meets gattuso type of guy without any consistency and confidence before he finally managed to play 10 games without being shit once

I agree with you.

I just still don't think they have any business winning the PL with a team like the current City being around.

i'm not watching a lot of pl this season so i might be wrong, but as an outsider, i'd say that city are having a standard season. they'll probably finish the season very strongly, they'll reach 90 points, they can't really blame themselves. it's not like they screwed anything up

arsenal made a huge jump in end product, credit where it's due i guess

The quality of football between EPL and Serie A is pretty staggering. Granted, this is a game between big teams, but its still enjoyable good quality football to watch as a neutral. Top of the table clashes in Italy otherhand are complete shitshows.

City had some stupid point drops in games where they should've won comfortably, at the same time Arsenal had the luck required. Thats the reason it came to this. In a normal season City would've left everyone behind.

How?? There are more Serie A teams in the last 8 of Champions League than the EPL. Clearly a superior league /s
