Joe Hart: 'I'm sure Pep Guardiola would be a pleasure to play under'
Hart insists that he is happy with Manuel Pellegrini in charge at the Etihad but could not hide his admiration for former Barcelona boss Guardiola.

24 August
Joe Hart captained Manchester City in their Champions League qualifier. The 1-0 win over Steaua Bucharest may be the keeper's City farewell.

'I know Joe is a legend for this club,' said Guardiola. 'One of the reasons this club has won the Premier League twice and cups is because of Joe. He helped create this team and take it to a new level.
'But I am here to take decisions. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career but I try to be honest.
'I was honest with Joe, I was honest with the club and all the players in the squad.
'I have to take decisions. I can not deny what I feel. If the fans are happy, or not happy, I can understand it. I can't tell them how to feel.

'He has done more for Manchester City than I have managed in a month. I am so happy with how the people treated him tonight and how they love him as a player.'
City and Hart's representatives will now work overtime to try and get the 29-year-old a loan or permanent move away before August 31.

It's probably a good decision by Guardiola, I do not watch a lot of PL or England NT, but I have seen my fair share of Hart mistakes, way too many for top keeper

It feels like a power play by Pep. He's had worse than Hart before and it's not like the guy was a total scrub.

Perhaps. But in the end of the day, it comes down to confidence in the players ability to perform. Hart didn't have Guardiola's, that's why he is out.

Guardiola is among the most respected managers out their and someone who have kept the biggest of egoes and dildoes in check, he doesn't really need to make such a power move. He owned City already.

He is not getting rid of him for that, Hart is still very good keeper. But Hart is not the controll your defence and distribute the ball in short kick offs type of goalie that Pep likes.

Like who? Hart is absolute shit
I think Valdez was on the same level if not worse and that German guy sucked but idk if that was during Guardiolas time at Barca.

I don't know. This guy was obvious quality as a player. I reckon he can teach our players something. Also, he's just an assistant coach. So while they can gain from his experience, he won't be the one making the calls.
