Andrea Pirlo has become the 28th Juventus player to win the ‘Castagna d’Oro’ award.
The special recognition, assigned by members of the Juventus Club Mottarone fan organisation, was presented to the midfielder on a memorable night in Baveno.
On receiving the award, Pirlo said: “It’s an important recognition. I’m honoured and would like to thank everyone for choosing me as this year’s winner.”
The 33-year-old, who masterminded the Bianconeri to last night’s 3-0 Champions League victory over Chelsea, was joined at the event by Andrea Agnelli, Giuseppe Marotta and Mariella Scirea.
