At least with Sissoko we have a room for improvement (we have seen this under Ranieri) unlike Poulsen who is averagely average at every footballing skill.
Do we really have room for improvement with Sissoko? How many years have the kid played? Why hasn't his passing improved a single bit yet?

Marchisio - Poulsen put in a few very impressive performances together. Considering they are our two most mobile and also the most composed duo in central midfield goes a long way to explain that.

got 2 words F*ck Poulsen

just imagine if we gave Liverpool at the time 2 million more we would have Xabi Alonso. i think we didnt have to buy Melo then...

That Secco guy still pisses me off
Never thought about it that way lol. That 2 Millions cost us 25 and a champions league spot (which is worth more Miliions).

Xaby Alonso would have been perfect.

Poulsen was the only CM last season who when called upon stepped up to the plate and did his job well. Under Ciro and the other malaka, melo, momo and marchisio all played average.

one of Grygera, Poulsen or Sissoko are on the table but Roma would prefer cash only, they want to wrap the deal up as quickly as possible

Yeah, his passing has only gotten progressively worse. He simply cannot learn how to pass the ball properly.

So what we have here is a player whose only real asset is destroying attacks... attacks that he creates himself through his own turnovers.

It just needs to end. Need to move on to a more intelligent midfield.

Juve target Mexes and Clichy Saturday 3 July, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Philippe Mexes and Gael Clichy could increase the French contingent at Juventus, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Bianconeri officially started their season on Friday when the team came together for training.

They have already made five signings, the latest of which was Marco Motta from Udinese, and are targeting more for Gigi Del Neri’s squad.

According to today’s Corriere dello Sport newspaper, the push for Roma defender Mexes is still on despite setbacks.

The Giallorossi only want cash for the transfer, rejecting offers of Momo Sissoko, Christian Poulsen or Zdenek Grygera as part of the exchange.

Another French import for Juventus could well be Arsenal midfielder Clichy, although they baulked at the £12m asking price.

The Gunners can be talked into handing over Clichy in part-exchange for Brazilian Felipe Melo.

Despite the own goal and red card against Holland, Melo remains a target for Arsene Wenger.

Financially I'd only do a straight swap or Clichy + 5m at the most.

Before Fred rapes me, I know Clichy is worth 10 Melos in quality but we need to at least break even with him.
