The whole concept of Dybala fanboys/haters or any other player for that matter is just ridiculous.

I can't understand how anyone can love a player if he's hurting your team or hate someone if he helps you win.

Some of us are just sick and tired of going through the same dance every season, having to wait to be 'proven wrong'. He's not a kid anymore, he's not an unproven talent. He's supposed to be the best player at the club, #10, a leader. Just the fact we have to discuss this shit every few months is damaging to him. He's supposed to play 'well' all the time, not have a thousand excuses made for him and then when he hits his purple patch for a couple months goes the 'see, I told you'.

His inconsistency is a detriment, not an excuse for him.
This is the thing,, is not a matter of love hate...people are simply tired. Its like a vicious cycle.

Last season he was our second best player, what are you saying? it doesn't make sense at all, he even got the serie a MVP, he won a lot of game basically out of nothing, that was some months ago, not years.... are you just trolling? got it, you're trolling

Are we still surprised that he looks shit the more he touches it in midfield? He is a striker.

No, he can't run and recover balls. He does not look for vertical passes. He gets the ball and shoots it in the net. This is his one biggest strength. He had two teammates wide open today and shot it because that's his first and second thought.
Are we supposed to believe this is not what Dybala wants? Sarri literally said last season he had to convince him for months to stay in the box. Every coach can't be that stupid to just tell him to do stuff that hurts him and the team.

the guy that’s played once in the past year?
Ya. Or Higuain, Icardi, Lautaro, etc.

I'm not saying that he's the best striker, just that he is a striker. Should Argentina play him instead of Messi? No. Then they ask should they play him instead of the other strikers? Probably not as well, depending on form and fit with Messi. So there's your answer.

yeah it’s everyone else’s fault. If he doesn’t think he’s messi, how come he never plays for Argentina?
What an argument. Argentina are setting the world alight, aren't they? Playing some amazing vintage football, crushing and pulverizing mighty teams like Venezuela 5-0. The world is shaking and quivering. He isn't playing for Argentina and they aren't exactly winning any tournaments any time soon.

Del Piero wasn't a regular for Italy. Does that mean he wasn't a great player? Don't use the Argentina argument to try and construct an argument - you're smarter than that.

No one is saying it is everyone else's fault, but our midfield is still ass, so that's what he needs to drop back and get the ball. No one is actually circulating and moving the ball forward, McNuggets aside. Our midfield is still static as fuck, lacking that dynamism and fluidity we see in teams like Bayern and even friggin Milan.

I think people and he himself expects him to be a Del Piero type of player that could work magic all over the field, drop deep and bring the ball forward relentlessly, but he's nowhere near Alex in that regard, he's just not playing to his strengths if he continues to do something he's not effective at.

Thats doesnt mean he needs to be perennialy benched. Morata cant play all the games, and we can effectively rotate both. For now, he needs to focus on recovering his form because is dreadful.
If we want to win, especially in Europe, we'll need contributions from everyone. I'm sure the same fuckers who are shitting on Dybala now and sucking Morata's cock, will deploy the same attitude, tactics, and logic once Morata has a negative period of form (using his Chelsea and ATM form as support).

Not really a high bar to clear last season, but that is exactly my point. There is no reason he shouldn't be scoring 30 goals plus per season. His inconsistency is the only reason he isn't, nothing else.

And thanks for proving my point about the purple patch. This was on February 11th, little bit before the season stopped:

His purple patch post-COVID and recency bias won him that meaningless Serie A MVP. While we're at it, the club itself gave the MVP award to CR.

del piero had a role for Italy as a super sub, hes like top 5 all time in international goals. And the guys that played ahead of him were all timers, like Baggio and Totti. Don’t use that argument, you’re smarter than that.

Id start Dybala over Lautaro, Icardi and Higuain both seem past it. If you set up the Argentine attack similarly to when Messi played with David Villa at Barca, Dybala can be very effective in such a system. Lautaro can be the Alexis Sanchez in that setup, chasing every ball like a madman. :p

Baggio was 31 when WC 98 came around - Del Piero was barely 24. Dybala has Messi ahead of him. Del Piero had Totti, who is an inferior player in the eyes of many, starting ahead of him.

After that Paulo ended with 11 goals+11 assists in serie A but I guess you rather forget that part... and CR7 being the best and Paulo second best, still doesn't do anything for your previous statement about "hurting the team"
