I don't like chipping the ball into the box when there isn't an angle. It's too easy to defend. Quite happy for the freekick to be passed to an angle where it is worth crossing from, though.

What I dislike is non-speacialists trying to take a freekick like a specialist.

Why not just smash the ball as hard as you can (like Bonucci does when he gets a chance) and see what happens?

How about non-specialists not taking freekicks? Bonucci smashing the ball just looks comical and seriously makes us look like a Championship team.

He's only doing that when Juve don't have a specialist on the pitch.

And I'm only concerned about the likelihood of something good coming from it - not whether it looks a bit shit to the rest of the world.

Tevez only seems interested in freekicks pretty close to goal.

Does anybody else think that Pogba isn't shooting as often as he did in previous years? A couple of times he's had a shooting opportunity and he's not taken it. Could Allegri be asking him not to?

Dunno.

I think he's holding the ball too long quite a lot of the time.

He gets in a position where you expect him to shoot, but he takes an extra touch and an extra touch and gets closed down.

Maybe Allegri has told him to shoot less, but it's just looking like indecision a lot of the time when Pogba gets in good positions and doesn't do anything.

I'm sorry if I get blasted for this, but I want the player back that we got when he was signed. He isn't "spectacular" as much anymore.

What gives?

agreed but tbh he also often succeeds in getting himself into a better position (but then just fucks up the shot...).

Maturing and learning to play the percentages more, as all good players do.

Will inevitably take him a while to discover exactly what the right balance is.

True.

I'm waiting for him to finally connect the dots: maturity with the same confidence he had when he came where he took us all by surprise. He doesn't make many mistakes and does all the simple things well usually. But the balance and confidence we saw when lets say Zidane reached that point where his technique and maturity took him to 5 levels above everyone else.

I think Hustini is making too much of it. He is the same player that came here 2 years ago. Is justa bad a spell and that he is not scoring flashy goals. Thats it.

He has been doing good tricks and spectacular recoveries in all this games, but its his end product that is missing. It will come back with form.

Nah, he does a lot of things well, but the "outstanding" moves we got used to seeing are fewer and farther between.
