He didnt play, but he was as happy as ever. Hell get his chance in quarters although cassano did an amazing job today. I want to see dp and cassano.

cassano was brillant today, I'm clueless as to why it took donadoni this long to start him. Toni needs to start fucking scoring because he has 5 or 6 good chances per game. We should of put them away a lot sooner. I'm glad we're on though.

Before the tournament started I thought Inzaghi apart, Italy had the best strike force of all the teams in number and quality but all that means nothing if everything revolves round Toni.

The likes of Cassano, Dp, Di Natale and all are just wasted as the tactics do not suit them at all. Great that gattusso is suspended as he is useless.

I can't say that Italy deserve to qualify...but they did!They had luck,in football,chance is with the big teams!Hope that Spain will rape Italy asses in the quarter finals(except Il Capitano)...

The thing I don't understand is why, when it's so clear that Toni is off-form, Donadoni persists on making him the focus of Italy's attacking play with all these long balls.

maybe especially with pirlo suspended. Sometimes we're to focused on providing balls to toni, we forget about cassano and DP. We need to get them more involved. When DP played against romania he really didn't play poorly, he just didn't recieve the ball as much as he does with juve.

I agree Cassano needs to play more. I think Brilliant is a step to far though he needs to pass more and he also needs to do more off the ball running. Basically his team play needs improvement.

well he hasn't played with these players in over 4 years, so it's not that surprising he hasn't developed that kind of connection with the guys yet. He did make a number of good runs forward but we ultimately ended up sending balls in the box to toni. A number of times zambo or grosso could of squared the ball to him at the top of the box.
