UBS, a premier financial services firm, made a computer model to predict how the Euros would play out this summer. The model consists primarily of historical data, as in past meetings between the nations and recent results, etc.

The model predicts the final to be between the Czech Republic and Italy, with a probability of 51% for the Czechs to come out the winner.

Interesting... But what do finance guys know about football?
Like I said, it's based primarily on past meetings and recent results. These are merely statistics here placed within a computer model, so there is no bias input from a finance guy.

This is more like football econometrics here.
