I just read Chiellini tackled Cassano at practice today and Cassano got pissed at him and they argued. Then Cassano tackled Barzagli hard. Already it looks like a mistake to carry him.

In the Italian national team the player with the most caps is given the armband. In the current squad the most capped players are Cannavaro, Del Piero and Buffon in that order. If DP starts he'll be captain, if not it'll be Buffon.

Im with Seven on this one.It was probably a random argument between two players.I can see why Cassano would be pissed off though.Canna got injured through a Chielleni tackle,and now that Cassano is back in the squad after a long absence,he'd hate to get injured.Having said that,becasue Cassano is the one who was involved,the media will naturally blow the story out of proportion.I dont think his chances of playing against Holland have been affected by this.Big or Small,they are on the same level that they were before yesterday.

I would definetely like to see Chiellini start alongside Barzagli as well, that would be great. I think Chiellini is a great defender. However, with his current mental state after injuring Cannavaro, Donadoni may think one of two things :

(a) He may think that Chiellini will try really hard and in a way make up for what he has done, and play great in the place of Cannavaro.

Or

(b) He may that think Chiellini will put himself under too much pressure to try and fill in for Cannavaro, and is already mentally flustered and may not do so well.

I believe Chiellini would be epic for us in the tourney, but its really up to Donadoni, not me, so ill just have to wait and see.
