Exactly on what platform would that happen? Japan and South Korea have close ties, but China is a completely different kind of political entity.

I know there is no chance for that to happen .. I'm just replying on who's saying that might happen

Its not as much as agreeing with N. Korea, but just in spite of a president who alienated the whole world. Anyone opposing him has become more than welcome...

Also, niether you or I could actually give an accurate evaluation on how N. Korean are actually living. But I know that western media portray of my country and what is actually happening on the ground are two different things...

my guess would be financial aids being sent to north korea by these three countries infront of north korea giving up there program. i dont know if it will work or not, but thats what i see happening in the near future.

Actually, I don't think this will be the solution as this type of regimes that rules North Korea doesn't really care if the people eat or not...

In the end, it is their reign is what is worth it according to them...

One potential problem that may surface is North Korea's ties to Iran and Syria. It would be highly inconvenient if one or two ships with enriched uranium arrived in Iran every year. While North Korea probalby will not attack anyone, Iran is somewhat more aggressively inclined. Bolton has suppposedly drafted a resolution for the Security Council calling for inspections of all cargo entering and leaving North Korea. I hate this guy, but that would be a good resolution. So the UN might do something for once...or not.

Actually, UN should have interfered in more urgent issues since a very long time, but that organization is just the dummy of the Western world. It doesn't represent anybody but those idiot characters sitting on their seats in that building in New York...

You can't make use of anything there except following up the new fashions of formal suits and ties...

If we don't criticize the right of North Korea to acquire nuclear bombs, that doesn't make us very loyal to everything related to the ruling party there...

Personally, I don't support any of the parties in this issue, but honestly, I'm closer to anybody who challenges G. Bush and Dummy Anan's organization...

Eh, leaders are known for making bad decisions. For example, a couple of years ago Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe, turned away planeloads of UN food aid. The reason? There was some GM wheat in the bread, and he claimed that Zimbabweans are people not dogs, and therefore shouldn't eat that trash. What can you say.

Same problem happened when Middle Ages Europe lived and died on a grain-based diet that was highly subject to famine, blight, and crop loss -- resulting in starvation, malnourishment, war, etc.

The potato, native to South America, was brought over as a potential answer to all those woes, but many European nation states resisted it -- and many religious leaders flouted that no moral human being would eat something from under the ground. As a result, millions died of starvation for no good reason other than misplaced pride over food sources.

Why does the US have nuclear weapons?

originally to protect us from the threat of the Soviet Union, who also is heavily armed btw..

and now to protect us from a wack-job who has no regard for his people, let alone the rest of the world, and could fire a missile out of complete paranoia of a "supposed" US attack on his country...and to protect us from a fundamentalist Islamic country who has already made claims to wipe one nation off the map when they are nuclear capable...and may aim to the west immediately after...

Me neither. China, a supplier of oil and food for this region, could well have been backing the action. It remains to be seen. Would strike me as odd, though, considering the economic spheres they are operating within. But possible. The rest of the nuclear weapon states and the international community as a whole should now, one way or another, clearly make North Korea understand that nuclear testing is unacceptable. Sanctions are important. If they are not imposed, what message does that send to the other states with nuclear arms, like Iran?
