In fact, in Bundesliga they all want Bayern. Havertz just choosed the easier path.
I fail to see how Chelsea is an easier path for a German than Bayern. Moving to Bayern is playing football career on beginner difficulty.
I suppose you can't sign them all, anyway.
I laughed out loud at this:
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told Sport1: “I say very clearly, financially a transfer for Havertz will not be possible this year.
“It’s my wish for (Bayer managing director) Rudi Voller that he stays one more year in Leverkusen.”
Hey Rudi can you keep him for another year, yeah don't sell him to anyone else because we can't afford him this year, but we'll grab him next year. There's a good lad.
Mind blown, how do you do it?
As for Chelsea, I know they had an embargo so have cash to spend but it does make you wonder about FFP in a Covid-19 season when they have spent €56m plus allegedly €20m agent fee on Werner, looking at €80m plus all the rest for Havertz, €40m for Ziyech, €60m plus for Declan Rice, €60m for Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva going on a fat 2-year deal. Having said that, they could be making €200m from the sales of Hazard, Morata and a couple of fringe players, so maybe it's not a huge stretch for them.
