It is disgusting though. People like Nasser, City sheikh or Abramovich got their money from natural resources that belong to the whole country. Yet, they spend hundreds of millions on football whereas their countrymen live in poverty. You're from Latvia right? Imagine oil is discovered there but you don't benefit at all from it because some oligarchs take control over it and use it solely towards their needs.

The exactly the opposite of what's happening. In America anything you find on your property belongs to you - oil, natural gas, gold, whatever. In the Arab countries and Russia it belongs to the government. That's why you have either the ruling theocratic dictators and their relatives or oligarchs close to Putin and Yeltsin stealing everything.

Is it? So if you own what's underground do you also own the air above your lawn and can prohibit the airplanes to fly through it? I don't think so.

10 goals in 50 games and you are 150 mln euro asset :sergio: The transfer market will become a nightmare for any club outside of the 5-6 ultra wealthy clubs. Thanks P$G and Man $hitty.

I was wondering what's the actual figures of the Dembéle transfer and found BVB's disclosure.
It's €105m that could go up to €147 if certain conditions are met. (probably goals, CL medal and Ballon D'Or stuff)
25-Aug-2017 / 17:00 CET/CEST Disclosure of an inside information
The FCB will pay BVB a fixed transfer compensation in the amount of EUR 105.0 m. (one hundred and five million euros). Moreover and in addition the parties agreed contingent payments up to the maximum amount equivalent to approx. 40% of the amount of the fixed transfer compensation.

The comparison is more or less valid. No strategic natural resource is owned by a random individual who happened to own the land. He has some rights to the amounts that are very close to the surface but nothing more.
I think you're wrong here, pretty certain that people thatt own Latvian land in theory also own all the kilometers till center of the earth

Well thats the way world is, you could also argue that the Higuain transfer fee would be better spent to feed millions of people

We could compensate It if we just manage to convince Fatzalo to cut his portions to the half and give away the remaining part

Only if you own the mineral rights. If you don't it can suck. Some puts their straw in your milkshake.
