Nah yo. Not even close. Schweini plays deep. It's usually Muller or Kroos as the advanced playmaker behind the striker. But, still a packed midfield. Thiago probably would split time with Kroos.
As I said dont need thiago, but I think Guardiola is not convinced with kroos,müller or robben... they will suffer most, because its obvious thiago (if he comes) is getting a staring place.
