Song to Barca.

Arsenal are self destructing
Van Persie is someone you cannot replace easily. Unless you splash big money on players like Cavani or perhaps Higuain, but we all know these kind of players are out of Arsenal's reach. They probably wouldn't be half interested to join the club.

Song on the other hand is very replaceable. There are quite a few players in the market that would love to come play at Arsenal that can easily replace him.

That being said, we all know Wenger enough to be sure that if Song is sold, Wenger will come out with shit like "Diaby is like a new signing, i don't need anybody else" or "I do not want to hurt Coquelin and Frimpong's development", and that is self destruction, selling Song isn't a disaster, not replacing him is.

However, most realistic Arsenal fans have now completely readjusted their expectations. I for one, stopped even thinking about titles, I just want to be in the CL every year. Maybe some day some sugar daddy will buy Arsenal and do a "PSG", thats the only way we'll ever have a shot at anything, because that is what football is about these days.

Song was outstanding last year, and I don't see many players available to Arsenal who are good enough to replace him.

If you sold Song, you should be going straight to Newcastle for Tiote as he'd be the perfect replacement and for me he's a better player.

However, I wouldn't call them the best Arab team in history, even though their accomplishments definitely deserve more than a mention :D We did destroy both Cameroon and the Ivory Coast, but we were also rather fortunate against Senegal and the Ivorians on a couple of occasions as well ;)

They should get Zarate :p

Now go and get me JoJo :D
No amount of fortune gets you to beat teams like Ghana and Ivory Coast time and time again, and then win the African Cup for 3 times in a row. They are definitely the most consistent Arab team in history, as much as Arab Maghreb countries would hate to admit it :D

Szczesny

Sagna-Koscielny-Vermaelen-Gibbs

M'Vila-Arteta

Cazorla

Walcott-Giroud-Podolski

Pretty solid team.
Could finish top 4, but anything beyond that is a stretch.

I agree, but we were rather fortunate on a couple of occasions. However, over the course of those 5-6 years, we were consistently the better team, no doubt :D

I don't think Tiote is a better player than Song at all to be honest, but if we did get Tiote, he'll offer qualities in midfield that we don't have. So he'd be a very good replacement.

Song was indeed amazing last season, but you can replace him with players like Tiote, M'Vila and others, who are within Arsenal's reach, if they wanted to. I mean if we made a serious move for these players, i'm sure they'd love to come play for us.

It isn't like Van Pussy's case where replacing a world class player like him, you'd need to spend heavy.

Meh.

Out of the front three, none of the players are special. None would get a game at Chelsea, City or United.

Our midfield is decent there. I like M'Vila and I think he'd strike a good partnership with Arteta. I like Cazorla very much, and think he'd be a great signing for us.

Our defense doesn't defend well as a unit, so even though the individuals there aren't too shabby, it won't make a big difference, they'll ship in a lot of goals regardless.

To be honest, our team isn't as bad as the start of last season, thats for sure.

M'Vila is a tad overrated for me, I don't think he'd cut it in the Prem.
I'm not sure how many times you've watched him :p

I think he's a very good midfielder. I rate him higher than i do Cheikh Tiote to be honest. He's more technical and more level headed in his play. He's a very dynamic player, that is a good tackler and a decent enough passer too. I think selling Song and getting him might even be good for us.

Will make top four and that's all Arsenal is aiming for each season.
Yup, thats all we're aiming for.

Its going to be tough, but i think we'll make it this year.

Not sure how sustainable our methods are though, selling our best players every season, eventually we will drop out of the top four, because its all downhill from here.

get your ass in the ligue en section and do this weeks pre games analysis :D..

and tell me what you think about m'vila
I like M'Vila, he didn't have the best of seasons last year, but he was still one of the best midfielders in Ligue. He's a dynamic player, a lot of people think he's a DM, but he's not, he's more of a box to box midfielder with good defensive qualities, he's not disciplined enough to be a DM, but he's a hard worker and good tackler. I really think he can make the step up to a good EPL team ala Arsenal or Tottenham. I'm surprised United didn't go after him, i think he'd do well for them too.

As for the Ligue preview, check the Ligue thread in a few minutes.:D

Cassano-Pazzini San Siro swap?!
By Football Italia staff

There are reports of a shocking exchange in the works at Milan – could Antonio Cassano join Inter in exchange for Giampaolo Pazzini?

The pair used to play together at Sampdoria and moved to opposite sides of San Siro in January 2011.

Pazzini is an outcast at Inter and has not been included in their Europa League squad, as he is not part of Coach Andrea Stramaccioni’s plans.

On the other hand, Cassano is increasingly frustrated at the lack of ambition shown by Milan after the sales of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

According to this morning’s La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two situations could come to a head with a sensational swap deal.

Cassano has never disguised the fact he supported Inter as a child and had been close to joining Massimo Moratti’s club before.

It’s claimed in the Corriere dello Sport that FantAntonio will be dropped from the starting XI in tomorrow night’s Trofeo Berlusconi against Juventus, left out in favour of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Robinho and Alexandre Pato.

Curiously, if this deal does not materialise then both Inter and Milan are looking at the same target – Roma flop Marco Borriello.

De Rossi would make sense for them, he can play as a regista which is something City lacks since Pizarro left.

Serie A has gone so downhill. I just don't see them reclaiming the 4 CL spots anytime soon. I expect Milan to struggle in the CL this season.

Has been going downhill for years now. You can even see that big players refuse to go there (unless contract runs out or they are forced to leave), like it's a meh league. I also expect Milan to choke in Europe, their squad is average. Inter too is going to choke.
