As you probably know, NIN has offered it's new album in a variety of options, from a free partial download to a 300$ Special-uber-deluxe-edition pack(which has sold out BTW).

You can check out the order page here. For a mere 5$ you can download the album in any format you want, including lossless(shame on you Radiohead). And iTunes charges what, 99 cents for a crappy DRM .mp3? So on iTunes this album would cost over 30$!! I read that in the first week the band made a profit of over 1.5mil $ and none of it is going to the man. :rulz:

Now I'm not a NIN fan but I gotta applaud Trent Reznor and what he has done, other big bands can learn from this example. I'm gonna buy the 5$ download just as a matter of principle.

This is how you sell music!

So I guess you missed the part where I said "I'm not a NIN fan" ? I just appreciate this move, the music industry needs re-modeling and the more bands follow this example the better.
