because that wouldn't do us any favours in terms of future relations with genoa. Right or wrong we're not assholes

Genoa are willing to accept our literal trash while we get to pick the cherries on top. You don't ruin business relations like that by being greedy.

Yeah we don't want to burn relations with Genoa given how closely we've been collaborating with them. We are signing their top talent.

I'm sure if we ask to sign Scamacca (owned by Sassuolo) Genoa would be more inclined to free him from the loan if we don't screw them over for example.
