No comparison. Milan was fighting for a much more heated quarter final against its cross city rivals while Juve was battling Liverpool and loss precisely because they played as if they always had the lead. They opted not to panic against Liverpool while Milan dedicated much energy to the Quarter and semi finals while keeping up on Serie A.
I give Juve credit because they capitalized on a chance...Milan did not muster up many chances and were clearly tired. Juve was able to capitalize on that. To say Juve had their best game of the season is B.S. I found the game boring at times because Milan only attacked towards the end and Juve opted stood back. Juve's best game? Come on.
WEll I would...if you had asked me then....WHO would win tomorrow I would still say Milan and I would still say it today because I truly don't believe Juve has a better team. The table indicates otherwise but I stand by my statement.
Again, had Juve faced a Milan squad of a month/month and a half ago my original predication may have materialized.
Again I don't think Juve was superior. Period. Juve capitalized on a tired Milan...Juve knew how to exploit the situation. Ancelotti you may know never mentions officiating scandals and most of the Italian press have had it with the 'silence policy' because they received some bad press. Should Milan have done the same when the Gattuso accusations came out?

I see Nick is giving the same old "could have, should have, would have" nonsense that the defeated always like to use as an excuse. As for who was the better team, Juventus took their chances while Milan struggled to create something, only able to create some last ditch efforts. Juventus caused Milan trouble during the entire match and apart from the Trezeguet goal Del Piero hit the post once and Nedved struck just wide. We created more chances, we came closer to scoring more than once, and we put the ball in the net, all of which Milan was unable to do. Juventus was the better team, enough said.
Back in December everybody here at least was saying Milan was indeed the better side, and most were being honest. Now I hope the same is true when the tide shifts towards Juventus.
As far as the match being our best throughout the duration of the season, I think going to the San Siro to play against the side we are competing directly against to win the Scudetto, coming up on top with a 1-0 victory, says a lot about the performance by itself. However the way we played was almost perfect compared to what we have seen before and what it could have been. Capello got his tactics right, the team followed the gameplan almost perfectly, and no Juventus player had a bad game. Could the same be said about Milan? I think not. IMO, with everything at stake and what we were up against, it was our best match of the season.

Im not sure... We had allready agreed that this summer is complete family time... with no work trips or flitting off to see juve friendlies etc... barring of course the tour in july which i am committed to...so its unlikely
But, My dear wife has decided she wants to go to new york at the end of the month which would also coincide with england - colombia at giants... So if we go with that idea... I may convince her we should go see italy at giants as well...
