. . . and with the first pick of the 2005 NFL Draft, the San francisco 49ers have selected . . . Richard Skinner, Punter, University of North Texas.

Well, the Detroit Lions had their sights set on Skinner, but having lost out to the 49ers the Lions have traded down to 34th overall.

If they keep the pick, which I doubt, then they are probably going after one of two QB's, Aaron Rodgers from Cal, or Matt Leinart from USC.

Here's hoping they trade down. Don't get me wrong, I love Leinart, but I don't think he's worthy of the #1 pick.

I say they should trade down, get multiple picks, suck ass next year, and if they are picking first again, then draft QB Chris Leak from Florida.

A right-handed Michael Vick.

Why did I give 30 million dollars to Dre Bly?
"Without the Ford Family, I would be selling Lions tee shirts on Seven Mile and Runyon for a discount price. God bless them. Oh yeah I am disapointed with the Lions this year."

You can draft all the offensive talent in the world (Harrington, Rogers, Jones, Williams) but if your offensive line sucks, it doesn't mean a damn thing

Is Leak that good?
Considering that he's a 19 year old sophomore who just completed his 2nd full season as a starter at a big time school like Florida, then yeah, he's that good.

My ultimate scenario is trading down from the first pick for a pair of first rounder somewhere in between 10-16, then grabbing OT Alex Barron from Florida St, and WR Braylon Edwards from Michigan. No point in drafting a QB now if the rest of your offense sucks. Their defense would have been a lot better this year if:

A) They didn't lose 7 starters for the year due to injuries, and

B) The offense didn't turn the "3 and out" into an art form

Did you see the rather pissy comments on Channel 4 made by Alberto Gilardino? He seems indignant about "Juve chossing Ibrahimovic over himself". Well, Alberto, it's not like Juve chose Phil Neville over you, so get over yourself. Ibra has certainly showed his worth thus far.

Yeah, tell that to Millen. I would rather have you as the Lion's GM Sergio.

Erik is the man you wish you could be. (just joking ) He's a former assitant manager of juventuz forum and generally a great guy. He's a bit off the main, but I like him.

What do you mean, where the fvck was I? Do you want the whole story, because it's complicated...
