The Industrial Revolution is little more than a fart in the wind compared to what is happening in the developing world. Just in this country we're talking about half a billion people going from a bowl of rice to owning a car and a couple of apartments in a matter of two decades, something unprecedented and quite simply unconceivable so far in the whole history of mankind.
Ah . . . yea . . . I was talking about the industrial revolution going on in China presently. Not the original. *insert shit-in-a-coffee-can emoticon here*

Claire, if your aim is to be the last one standing, then my aim is to ensure you are standing in cum drenched heels.

Speaking of UNESCO, did you know that I won a prestigious award on Xtra-time? "Post of the year", at a rate of 8 posts a year, no less.

I think ama buy me one of these, do they deliver to China? My hedonistic friend tells me they do from Cuba.

Since when did Americans stop making real cars? Do you like questions? Did you know that Lonely Planet describes the roads to Daocheng as "some of the highest, most spectacular and most dangerous you will find anywhere?"

It's not ugly, it has a strong personality, so not everyone can drive it. Cubans are naturally cool, so they'll look cool at the wheel of this baby. But Robbie Cafone puffing on a Behike will still look like Robbie Cafone (though he does look cool in his canary Padomobile).

Lib, the yellow car is no more! Back in June, I bought a FIAT 500L - the new 4-door model. It's red with a white roof. It's a sweet ride, but I do love a yellow car.

Now I know why the Bolivians killed Che.
He was exporting ugly cars, as well as revolution, to Bolivia?

Lib, remember when that crazy American police officer pulled up next to my wife and was screaming "Pull over!" ?
I was hoping to make it through the week without my foreign guest having to see such behavior from the law enforcement community. Of course, that was probably the only time that has ever happened to her, and you got to witness it. Message to the world: "Don't get a flat tire in North Carolina".

Aye, though I seem to remember that the officer approached us on my side first and that maybe my answering with a thumb up and a smile to his gesticulating affected his mood.

A courageous choice that of the Fiat 500 : isn't it considered as a homosexual car in North Carolina?

I'd love a good plate of grits with shrimps right now.

I got the 500L, the 4-door. If it's a homosexual car, then I'm good with that. Heteros are such assholes. I prefer the gay community. But I love the car. It has been great.
