Hey, anyone else besides Vinman and Myself read the "unfortunate ending" thread by Ian in the hangout section??

I thought Frankie Pentangelli slept with the fishes.
No, Pentangelli said "We were like the Roman Empire, the Corleone Family"

News just in from England
its been reported in the english media that Sven Groanin Erekktion is to manage Real Madrid after he steps down from the top job in England. it is thought that the swede, who will easily win the world cup winning every game 17-0 with rooney scoring 16 a game and crouch tapping in at the end, sees this as an opportuninty too good to miss. he is quoted as saying "yes the real job interests me,as long as they keep ronaldo!! if clarence seedorf can fook his wife i am garaunteed a ride there"
officials inside the real camp have refused to confirm or deny this report but ronaldo was seen going into burger king and "comfort eating" 20 burgers

Yet that is exactly what he said according to the transcripts.

There's more to it anyway. Moggi apparently pressed Lippi to call up Chiellini for a friendly, hoping that his market value would raise so he could sell him for a good price. Incidentally, Chiellini's manager is none other than Lippi's son Davide, who works for this company called...GEA.
That is an excellent business move. I am officially impressed.

You know, Kaiser, it would have been more impressive if Chimenti had been called up. At least Chiellini deserves a look.

No matter who is agent is, nobody can say that Chiellini isn't a better defender than half the men Marcello Lippi has called up for a look in the past 2 years.

Ask your mon and dad, should take about 10 minutes.

:D See, I always remember your posts.
Apparently you do :D. I'm at my mom's at the moment, and believe it or not, but I don't trust her too much when it comes to sports injuries. Last time I said something hurt, she called me a crybaby. Turned out my quadriceps was torn. So I think I'm going to ask a second advice. Can't reach my dad today though. It'll have to wait.

Actually Pado I might have to check again what I just said. I remember reading this morning that Moggi tried to force Lippi to call up his protégés in order to make better deals, but I can't find the article anymore so I am not sure whether Chiellini is one of the guys involved. The rest still stands however.
I didn't read anything about Chiellini.

Chiellini was interviewed on Monday or Tuesday, so you might be right.

Lippi: I didn't take Moggi orders Friday 19 May, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Italy Coach Marcello Lippi was interrogated today and insisted he did not take orders from Luciano Moggi.

“Everything is alright and I am relaxed. From now on, I will focus only on the Italy squad,” commented the tactician as he left the public prosecutor’s office in Rome.

Lippi was interrogated for over three hours as part of the on-going investigation into the influence of former Juventus director general Moggi and talent agency GEA World.

“I answered the questions that public prosecutors Luca Palamara and Maria Cristina Palaia posed and was there as a witness,” he added.

There were claims in the Press that Moggi had ‘ordered’ Lippi to choose GEA-represented players for the Azzurri and to rest Juventus stars for friendly games.

However, it’s reported Lippi told the public prosecutors he received pressure from many different agents, directors and clubs, but that he always made his own decisions.

There were even some suggestions in the Italian media this week that if Lippi’s part in the investigation became stronger, he would be sacked ahead of the World Cup, drafting in either Giovanni Trapattoni or Milan’s Carlo Ancelotti as an emergency measure, but today’s statements have made that very much a remote possibility.
hopefully, Lippi is done with these "prosecutors"

everyone should take note of the 2 "prosecutors" names, because if Lippi is removed from the bench because of all this, and Trap or someone becomes Lippi's replacement, and Italy lose the WC, then there names may as well be Falcone and Borsellino
