Yet it only got to 3-0? Sounds like Holland versus some European mini-state:

Van Basten: "Come on fellas, 3 goals up, let's go for a monsterscore!"
Van Nistelrooy: "Ugh, can't be bothered..."

:D
Well actually Panama had a decent attack and Keller had to make a few saves against them. It seems their coaching staff decided to play the most talented players up the pitch, and let the scrubs handle the defensive duties. Not too bright of an idea. :D

After a few minutes of telling them that they need a Juventini on their show (and that I was available if they needed me !!:D) I asked them about the rumors for next season- if Sky was really going to throw everyone in North America under the bus.

They said they dont know whats going to happen, but it aint lookin' so good :down::down::down:
You should listen to me more often... But no need to cry ...jus yet

Can't you get your hands on a satellite receiver so you can catch some Italian pay channels? You'll have to find an Italian resident to buy the keycard for you though but that's do-able I would think.
No... Its impossible

Andy, you perverted little pig-boy, I finally got off my hairy backside and mailed you the Juve shirt yesterday (Thursday). I also enclosed a couple nude pics of myself :D

Just kidding.

I actually packed the envelope full of cocaine and then alerted the Pennsylvania Post Master to be on the look out.

Just kidding.

I actually packed the envelope full of child pornography and alerted the FBI.

:D Well, I guess that's better than filling the package with white powder.

Grazie Pado, I appreciate it.

Wouldnt have made a difference...

UEFA have known that rule is wrong for a while... Virtually no other sport refuses the champion the rite to defend their title.

Every member of the g14 plus numerous other clubs across europe aired their view that lfc should defend their title... (they would have whoever the team in question was)

The entire footballing community was pushing uefa to allow this... what else were they supposed todo... but do the right thing... The CL without the champion is a fvcking joke.

The only reason this didnt happen before... was that when real came 5th even with the g14 etc's backing the spanish FA buckled and made a sacrifice rather than doing the right thing.

Not too mention all thiose 'fans' whinging about it would be saying something very fvcking different if it was their team who was in this position... Its laughable.

The entire footballing community.. every club, every national association, every major sponsor and tv channel pushed for and backed this decision ... Yet a few fans have complaints... So what... They're jus following their own agenda

But still, don't you feel for the club that will be denied the chance to play in the Champions League because of this decision? The prospect of playing in Europe is what every fan hopes for, and sometimes that one season in the CL can push a club into better times, either financial or improvement on the pitch. Either way, a lesser club from a smaller country was most likely sacrificed today by UEFA.

Unless the smaller club can show up against Liverpool, and I'll certainly be cheering for whoever they face.

No... For the simple reason.. they missed out on the first round, not the group stage.

There is no big money for this round... They missed a few pennies from their local tv station and a small gate receipt against another team that no one hda ever heard of either.

None of the clubs that enter in the first round will get anywhere and they have lost virtually nothing in financial terms.

If what should have been done according to uefa rules had happened...

Eg. the rule which clearly states that the current champion must start from the group stage no matter what their qualifying position was (eg. if they had come 4th or if they were in a country that had to enter at the third round - they would still enter at the group stage)

Then yes i would have felt sorry for fenerbahce who would have lost out and lost out on a lot of money... But in this case... No, the right thing was done

Now i keep hearing people talk about this.. Not changing midway business...

Please explain how this is midway through the season.

We are inbetween the last game of one cl and the first of another... Now to me that means we are either at the end of one campaign or the beginning of another... how thaty is midway i do not know....

If it is midway as some keep saying... when is a better time to adjust rules than now??
Christmas??? (which to me would be midway)...Purhleeez!!!

On a side note...

Alot of people go on about Kappa shirts (not me personally as i found them to be of poor quality allthough in the main well designed)... The kappa shirts we wore for Ciro's game were fecking awful... hideous jersey

Changing the rules midway IMO means that at the beginning of last season, Pool knew that to qualify for the coming CL, they needed a top 4 finish, even if they won.
Now they've won it. IMO, if the story was to change it should change with respect to the 2006/2007 season, not the 2005/2006 season.

But then, I am just whining. What has happened has happened.

Re the Kappa shirts, admittedly I haven't seen them from the Ciro match yeat, but in general they are very nice jerseys, the italia one from a few years back (away jersey - 2002 w/c?) looks amazing, as do several of our own Juve shirts and the Roma ones. However the quality is mediocre, my Juve shirt from 95/96 I think with Sony minidisc on snagged on a table on the first day, and after a few weeks had loads of threads coming out. Sad to say but you just cannot beat Adidas for reliability in footy shirt terms.
