But Martin, you got to understand, that most Muslims live in the third world, we have high percentages of poverty and illetracy. Most of them lack the "research mentality" and are very gullible to hearsay and rumors....

Well I knew they were Germanic, but both Dutch and German are Germanic and there are *a lot* of differences between the two, grammar-wise.

Looks a lot like Norwegian legalese. With us word conjugation is also a free for all, just that Dutch people are suckers for long words like 'belangrijk - allerbelangrijkste' / 'viktig - viktigste'.

Viktig is a lot like the German translation wichtig. Dutch tends to be the odd one out :/

Come on, I am sure you would understand at least 60% when reading Swedish or Norweigian, I still consier myself an amateur in these languages and I could understand almost half what I read in a Dutch newspaper. Now hearing Dutch is another story

I am pretty sure that "mecca" originated from the Makkah the city, because of the Hajj. But they are two different words right now.

Even een vraagje, moet er geen ruimte zijn tussen "schier" en "onoverbrugbaar"? Ik vraag het maar omdat ik "schier" altijd al zo'n vreemd woord heb gevonden.

I am just speaking hypothetically....That most muslim's are living below poverty line and illiterate, and are not educated enough to know the difference between the two words....hence the "outrage" in the Muslim world.
