Did you not know that Marchisio is out til late November and that Khedira is made of glass ready to burst any minute? Juve have already replaced Pogba with Pjanic, the DM is someone to fill the defensive gap left by Vidal and the constant injuries our starters have.

Loosing Pogba for James or Isco + Matic/Witsel would strenghten our squad....loosing him for the underwhelming names mentioned by the media is not the way to go if you aim for CL.

We can and should aim for CL without Paul, it's no-brainer. Yeah, Paus is unique all-around player, but hell, if (it's a big if, but nevertheless) Marchi will come back to his last year form, Khedira manages to stay more or less healthy and show football we've seen from him on Euro (he was the man, maybe the best midfielder of the tournament) and Max incorporates Pjanic well (have almost no doubts about it tbh) – I see no reason why we can't compete with any team.

We have Marchisio and Khedira for the defensive output. Matic is a different player and would bring a new dimension in our midfield while still being able to do a defensive work. I'd say Matic would be a more complete signing for us and much more useful when both Marchisio and Khedira are fit.
