There's a program MTV is doing about following ten young 'promise' players on/off the pitch while the World Cup qualifications. You will be able to see the players not only on the pitch but outside celebrating their birthdays, weddings, sharing things with their friends etc.

The players participating are: Xavi (Barca), D'Alessandro (Wolfsburg), Nilmar (Corinthians), Hugo Viana (Valencia), Defoe (Tottenham Hotspurs), Cisse (Liverpool), Blasi (Juve), Robert Huth (Chelsea), Nakata (Olympique Marseille)

Has anyone watched this? It seems interesting, with all this celebrity reality shows hype this one is one that actually seems worth watching

Blasi??? :wth:

I thought you said promising :D
Defoe: You've got to find an Italian who won't outshine me. Perhaps if I search the FM2006 database for the word 'incompetent'. Seven hundred fourteen names! Huh, better be more specific. Lazy, clumsy, dimwitted, and monsterously ugly. (714 matches). Ah nuts to this I'll just go get Blasi.

I have been watching the show... its funny that almost every player that they have interview will not be at the Wrld Cup, with the exeption of Cisse and maybe Huth.
I watch the Blasi interview, it was kind of old, was made when Juve won the scudetto so they show when Blasi's friends make him a party.

i see no reason why d'allesandro cant at least make the bench for argentina, and why cisse and Xavi cant go either.

D'Alessandro probably wont make it becouse there are players like Riquelme, Aimar and maybe even Messi ahead of him, he hasn't been call up for the national team for while.

Xavi, sadly he will probably wont make it coz he got injured very bad, he broke his rigth knee ligaments and will be out for 6 months, theres still a litle posibility that he can go.

Cisse, he will go.

If he recovers in early may, then there is quite a good chance he will go.
